What about the Walking Trees? (video)

The biggest tree on Earth is bigger than imagined
(The Premier Discovery) Oct. 30, 2024: Top 20 Biggest Trees in the World. Trees have long stood as silent witnesses to the passage of time, some for thousands of years, growing to sizes that seem impossible. How big can a tree get? From trees so big they can’t be cut down to behemoths that survive fires because of how thick they are. The scale of some trees defies imagination. Here are trees from around the world that are bigger than our imagination can hold.

Remembering 9/11 with Dr. Judy Wood

"Dustification" begins with tremendous heat.
How can we even dream of finding and facing the truth if we won't even look at the actual data? Dr. Judy Wood is a professional examining her expertise in the field to discover what she has: the "dustification" of the Twin Towers through unconventional and unfamiliar means but rather the use of some kind of new directed free-energy weapon.

Did a wide plane make this round hole?
(It has been 23 years since 9/11. Isn't it time to look at the data for once instead of a media storm of deception and controlled narrative that blames enemies as a pretext for endless war?

(Anyone interested in peace will want to know what really happened.

How dare you question the gov't!
(It's better to know instead of repeating comforting lies and nonsense, instead of falling into line as if this were 1984, engaging in 2 Minutes Hate every year to despise a religion or country or cabal. Who would embrace a patently impossible and debunked cover story when it is possible to get at the actual, demonstrable facts and truth of the matter? Who cares about truth?)

Don't question. Don't investigate. They might call you a "Truther." Just go along to get along.

Read the book for extensive presentation of the evidence and actual data: Where Did the Towers Go? The Evidence of Directed -Free-Energy Technology on 9/11.

Trees: one country gaining forests (video)

Where's the best place to mediate? The forest. But be protected: practice metta first.

Why does this forest look like a fingerprint?
(Vox) Team Vox set out to solve why a forest in the middle of Uruguay, South America, looks like a fingerprint and other odd patterns — and wound up finding something much bigger.
They're just trees. What's the big deal?
Deep in the geographic center of Uruguay, there’s a peculiar group of trees just a few kilometers down the road from the small town of San Gregorio de Polanco.

From the ground, it's not particularly notable. But from above, from a bird or drone's eye view (and particularly on Google Earth), the view is mind-boggling:

Hundreds of trees are arranged in perfect concentric arcs, all spiraling toward the center. Together, they look remarkably like a human fingerprint.

When the team first saw this forest in a Reddit post, it was fascinated.
  • Why had the trees been arranged in this shape?
  • Who planted them there?
  • And why — when one zooms out on satellite view — was the entire country of Uruguay covered in similar-looking forests?
To answer that question, the team went straight to the source: interviewing locals, experts, and people whose lives have been shaped by a transformed landscape and economy.

The Mushroom Motherboard: The crazy fungal computers that might change everything

Mycorrhizal relationship of mushrooms
(Megaprojects) March 4th, 2024: Let's unlock the secrets of fungal computing to discover the mind-boggling potential of fungi as living computers. From the Wood Wide Web to the Unconventional Computing Lab, witness the evolution of mushroom technology. A "mushroom" is the fruiting body of a much larger network called the mycelia [the world's first Internet], the matted undergrowth of connections in forest and field. It was the earth's first communication network of hyphae, the mycorrhiza (CMN) or symbiotic relationship between fungi and green plants. That mushrooms would serve as entheogens (substances capable of manifesting the divine within) for humans and animals is an amazing coincidence. Or is it a correspondence to something, as one of our earliest human ancestors?

Arcadia Lunar New Year Festival (2/25)

CC Liu, Crystal Quintero (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

The whole world has a fetish.
It's not too late to get to Asia (American style) for an authentic Lunar New Year Festival, the Chinese "Spring Festival," to ring in the Year of the Wood Dragon.

Los Angeles has more Asian dominant communities than Chinatown in DTLA. There's the entire San Gabriel Valley, with little cities like Arcadia (as in Joan of Arcadia) eager to show off their own version of the holiday:

Rare ‘waterfall’ appears in the OC, SoCal

Iman Palm, KTLA 5 via MSN.com; CC Liu, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Do woodland fairies (bhumi devas) delight in temporarily green groves and flowing waterfalls?

You better believe we do. We love them!
This rare “waterfall” in Southern California only appears after heavy rainfall. Iman Palm from KTLA 5 looks into the phenomenon.

The latest “atmospheric river” storm to move through Southern California brought heavy rain and mudslides but also something unique for residents, especially those in the OC (Orange County), next to Los Angeles.

The heavy rain unveiled the rare spectacle of Dana Point Falls, a “waterfall” that only graces the wealthy coastal community after significant rainfall. KTLA 5 via MSN.com

Science studies rebirth, Beatles get spiritual

The Beatles; Host dimwitted dotard George Noory, guests Mark Anthony and Joanne DiMaggio, Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024; Pfc. Sandoval, Seth Auberon, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Ah, I remember now! How could I have ever forgotten those experiences and relationships?!
.
History of Reincarnation/The Beatles
"Psychic Lawyer" Mark Anthony
Mark Anthony
, the "Psychic Lawyer" (afterlifefrequency.com), is a medium who specializes in communication with spirits.

He discusses the history of the belief in reincarnation (rebirth), which all religious traditions seem to have believed in at one time -- including early Christianity which mostly removed it from official texts.

Reliving Past Lives: Evidence
Stories of past life regression (by hypnosis and other methods of recall, including spontaneous conscious remembering) are one source of evidence.

But evidence for rebirth is not limited to self-report. If it were, no one would take it seriously because our Western religious traditions have taught us that there is no such thing or else we would have all been reborn as avocados (or some similar nonsense).

Better than subjective reincarnation testimonies are pieces of verifiable pieces of physical evidence that can be investigated objectively. There are also near-death experiences, as well as psychic readings.
  • For a comprehensive review of the science up to that time, see the work of Dr. Helen Wambach, Ph.D. in Reliving Past Lives with statistics and a large research sample. If nothing else, this noteworthy book will convince readers this topic can be studied scientifically and in ways no one had thought of before. While she does utilize hypnosis, she does NOT depend on faulty self-report evidence. Instead, she consolidates large data sets, looking for verifiable historical truths of which no individual would have been aware.
Psychologist Dr. Wambach, PhD
Attorney Anthony is not only a practicing lawyer but a practicing psychic reader who communicates with spirits, who frequently assert the reality of past lives.

Anthony speaks of an "electromagnetic soul" as a coherent quantum field that does not dissipate at physical death but transfers from one form to another.
  • This is in line with Buddhist teachings though people may not think so. What is actually happening is that an impersonal, disappointing, and impermanent process is continuing but not any of the elements of it. While this is ultimately true, it is not the way it is experienced. We really do seem to go on. In fact, everything we were is falling away at every moment. Imagine the fall of dominoes. Where is "the fall"? It is dynamic becoming, not being, because it is always moving. But is "it" this domino, or that domino, or some future domino, or some past domino, or is "the fall" all the dominoes, or none of the dominoes? Thes questions make little sense when we see what's really going on. Ultimately speaking, there is no permanent self but there is rebirth, there is an empty (impersonal) process carrying on. Death does not stop it.
Who's Edgar Cayce?
Anthony talks about how many religions from India embrace rebirth/reincarnation as a fundamental fact -- that can be verified by anyone and is seen by seers (rishis). The Dalai Lama (who follows a form of Buddhism called Vajrayana that is very much blended with Hinduism) has said reincarnation is not just a Hindu or Buddhist concept.

Rather, it is part of the history of our human origins. Early Christianity threw out references to reincarnation made by Jesus and others, reforming the Bible to align with imperial Roman (Emperor Constantine and a similar Byzantine council that came later) needs to control the population.

Edgar Cayce's 12 Lessons in Personal Spirituality
Fortunately, certain passages like the Transfiguration and the explanation of sin as the cause of a blind man's blindness since birth (as realized by Bible enthusiast and Southern Christian "American sleeping prophet" Edgar Cayce, who also found other instances of imperfect deletions edited out at various councils), have leftover elements of the previous widespread teaching of rebirth in Christianity and Judaism, in addition to their mystical quality.

Currently, 51% of the world's population believes in reincarnation, including 33% of Americans, he cites.

In this interview, Anthony delves into various ways to recall past lives, which include PLR (Past Life Regression) therapy, NDE (near-death experiences), study, research, ego-death producing entheogenic/psychedelic drugs (DMT, Bufo, LSD or "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," MDMA, psilocybin, ketamine, etc.) waking techniques (similar to talking therapy), art, and notes that young children often spontaneously recall specific details of a previous life.
  • The safest way to recall past lives is through meditation, beginning with calm to purify the mind (mastering the first four absorptions or jhanas and then developing insight through practice of Dependent Origination. Most might think this is a theory, but in fact it is a practice. By seeking the cause of present suffering in a systematic way, as the Ascetic Siddhartha did under the Bodhi tree, the mind eventually finds it in past lives. It is not a belief, not a theory, not a teaching heard by others but rather a personal experience of verifiable memories. The only problem that may arise is the question, How many past lives have there been? There have been so many that one may have trouble integrating them if one clings to the notion that one is all of them, that a permanent "soul" has gone through all of these impermanent experiences, bodies, realms, and lives. The fact is, it is an impersonal process. Clinging even to this life is not wise. Continued practice to see the true nature of all experience (i.e., the Three Universal Marks of Existence and the 31 Planes of Existence) is the wise way to proceed. Finding a Buddhist teacher familiar with these things, while difficult, is far better than seeking Western therapy to make sense of it all. Wisdom Quarterly recommends seeing Pa Auk Sayadaw and/or his accomplished students for reliable guidance.
In this last type, the famous case of James Leininger was brought up. The child had vivid memories of being a WWII pilot -- with extensive details about planes, battles, fellow pilots, all of which could be checked, including details about subjects no child would be familiar with. His parents looked into those details and confirmed the reality of what the child persistently spoke and obsessed about.

"Some people have very clear memories of prior lives," he comments, and "some have a sense of deja vu...phobias with no apparent cause."

More evidence for past lives includes prodigies with natural (innate) talents like young Mozart, who was composing songs at 4-years-old.

During the second hour of the show, Anthony gave readings for callers.
The Beatles made the West more spiritual
The Beatles and their groupie girlfriends return to their guru in India, Maha-rishi Mahesh Yogi
.
Then Joanne DiMaggio, who has been actively involved with Edgar Cayce's Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.) since 1987, talked about the Beatles.

From 1964 to 1972, she was the president of a Beatles Fan Club. In Part II of the show, DiMaggio talks about her experiences at the Fan Club, the influence of the Beatles' music, and how the band may have planted a seed leading her and many others to pursue deeper beliefs.

Oh my f'n God, I love the Fab Four SO much!!
The Beatles opened up the West to new Eastern ideas, she said, sometimes subliminally in their lyrics.

"I had no idea when I had the Beatles club that so much was being actually said about their spiritual beliefs" [musically until I reflected on it later].

Who's the Fifth Beatle? Pete Best, their Jewish producer, their agent, Ravi Shankar, their guru?
Is this what heaven will be like, guru? Full of dove footed virgins as I play lutes, harps, guitars?
All you wanted were groupies, Paul! - No, John, like George, this has been spiritual for me, particularly after I died in that car crash and was replaced. - Oh, right.
.
We were just going home to see our Hindu guru.
She recalls the Beatles' pilgrimage to India and how many fans, including herself, didn't understand it at the time.

George Harrison [who has no comparison] had a particular affinity for the country and felt he lived there in a past life, she claims.

This guy's our rishi (spiritual visionary)
After the trip, the Beatles started practicing TM (transcendental meditation), and their music began changing.

That's when "the depth of that profound spiritual evolution that they were going through was revealed," DiMaggio says.

Who's Sargeant Pepper, John? He's a soda pop.
She says their music inspired her to question some of the beliefs of her Catholic upbringing and re-ignited her interest in metaphysical books that she'd had as an adolescent.

Their music also allowed her to enter a kind of altered state without drugs. "It just set me to a whole different level of understanding of how the universe operated," she mused.

Science: Trees used to be very Dr. Seuss (Lorax)

Ayurella Horn-Muller, CNN, 2/2/23; Kelly Ani, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Rare ancient tree discovery has scientists ‘gobsmacked’
CNN
Trees are believed to have originated hundreds of millions of years ago. Ever since, evidence of these ancient plant sentinels has been in short supply.

Shush! He's doing something important.
Now, a new discovery of uniquely 3D tree fossils has opened a window into what the world was like when the planet’s early forests were beginning to evolve [change in adaptation to changing environment], expanding our understanding of the architecture of trees throughout Earth’s history.

Five tree fossils buried alive by an earthquake 350 million years ago were found in a quarry in the Canadian province of New Brunswick, according to a study published today (Friday, 2/2/24) in the journal Current Biology.

The authors said these new and unusual fossil trees not only bear a surprising shape reminiscent of a Dr. Seuss illustration, they reveal clues about a period of life on Earth of which we know little.

“They are time capsules,” said Dr. Robert Gastaldo, an American paleontologist and sedimentologist who led the study, “literally little windows into deep-time landscapes and ecosystems.”

Coauthors Olivia King and Matthew Stimson unearthed the first of the ancient trees in 2017 while doing fieldwork in a rock quarry in New Brunswick.

One of the specimens they discovered is among a handful of cases in the entire plant fossil record — spanning more than 400 million years — in which a tree’s branches and crown leaves are still attached to its trunk.

I knew Dr. Seuss was tapping into something
Few tree fossils that date back to Earth’s earliest forests have ever been found, according to Dr. Gastaldo. Their discovery helps fill in some missing pieces of an incomplete fossil record.

“There are only five or six trees that we can document, at least in the Paleozoic, that were preserved with its crown intact,” said Prof. of Geology Gastaldo at Colby College in Waterville, Maine.

Most ancient tree specimens are relatively small, he noted, and often discovered in the form of a fossilized trunk with a stump or root system attached.

For his colleagues to find a preserved tree that could have been 15 feet tall in its maturity with an 18-foot diameter crown left the paleontologist “gobsmacked.”

Ancient earthquake burial

Massive quake, as in Afghanistan, hit the area
The researchers excavated the first fossil tree about seven years ago, but it took another few years before four more specimens of the same plant were found in close proximity to one another.

Dubbed “Sanfordiacaulis,” the newly identified species was named in honor of Laurie Sanford, the owner of the quarry where the trees were unearthed.

The forms taken by these previously unknown 350-million-year-old plants look somewhat like a modern-day fern or palm, according to the study, despite the fact that those tree species didn’t appear until 300 million years later.

But while the tops of ferns or palms as we know them boast few leaves, the most complete specimen of the newly discovered fossils has more than 250 leaves preserved around its trunk, with each partially preserved leaf extending around 5.7 feet (1.7 meters).

That fossil is encased in a sandstone boulder and roughly the size of a small car, according to Dr. Stimson, an assistant curator of geology and paleontology at the New Brunswick Museum.

The unique fossilization of the cluster of trees is likely due to a “catastrophic” earthquake-induced landslide that took place in an ancient rift lake, he said. “These trees were alive when the earthquake happened. They were buried very quickly, very rapidly after that, at the bottom of the lake, and then the lake (went) back to normal,” Dr. Stimson said.

Finding complete fossil trees is rare and much less common than finding a complete dinosaur, according to paleobotanist Prof. of Geosciences Peter Wilf at Pennsylvania State University, who was not involved with the study.

Prof. Wilf noted via email that the “unusual” new fossil tree was a relic of a time period from which there are almost no tree fossils.

“The new fossils are a milestone in our understanding of how early forest structure evolved, eventually leading to the complex rainforest architectures that support most of Earth’s living biodiversity,” Prof. Wilf added.

‘Very Dr. Seuss’
AI does not read much Dr. Seuss but it tries.
To King, a research associate at the New Brunswick Museum who found the group of fossils, the Sanfordiacaulis would have looked like something plucked straight out of Dr. Seuss’ most popular works.

“You know in ‘The Lorax,’ the trees have these big pom-poms at the top and narrow trunks? These probably have a similar structure. You have this massive crown at the top, and then it does narrow and paper into this very small trunk,” King said. “It’s a very Dr. Seuss-looking tree. It’s a weird and wonderful idea of what this thing could look like.”

But the reign of the Sanfordiacaulis was short-lived, the researchers said. “We do not see this architecture of plant again,” Dr. Stimson told CNN.

He noted that it grew in the early Carboniferous, a time period at the end of the Paleozoic Era when plants and animals were diversifying as they started to make their way from water to land.

Much of evolution is experimental, with success often measured by a species’ versatility, or ability to adapt to many different places and conditions.

The peculiar set of tree fossils presents proof of a “failed experiment of science and evolution,” Dr. Stimson added. “We’re really starting to paint that picture as to what life was like 350 million years ago.”

Looking forward

Fossils such as the Sanfordiacaulis are not just useful in helping humans understand how life changed in the past, they can help scientists figure out where life on our planet might be headed next.

The existence of this particular species suggests that trees of the period were starting to occupy different ecological niches beyond what was previously understood, according to the researchers behind its discovery.

Dr. Gastaldo sees this as an indication that plants — much like early invertebrates — were experimenting with how they adapted to the environment.

The earthquake that likely led to the trees’ fossilization also offers new geological evidence of what may have been occurring in Earth’s systems at the same moment in time.

“This is really the first evidence we have of [a tree] that would be between what grows on the ground and what would tower way above the ground,” Dr. Gastaldo said. “What else was there?”
