Soma and 5-MeO-DMT with Indian yogis

Did soma (elixir containing a secret psychedelic mushroom or plant) give rise to "Hinduism"?

(dakota 2 earth) I gave [Indian wandering ascetic shaman] Aghori Yogis sapo (bufo), 5-MeO-DMT. They laughed at it, not rejecting the mind-expanding experience but seemingly accustomed to it by their own sadhana or daily spiritual practices.

Priceless relics of the Buddha found

Dr. Ranajit Pal, Ph.D.
Bones of the Buddha is a documentary about the British excavation of one of the eight stupas (Buddhist burial mound and reliquary found in Piprahwa, now India, near the border with Nepal) where the historical Buddha's cremation remains (sarira or relics) were placed after the Buddha's final nirvana (parinibbana). 250K-year-old tools found in MX cave

There are many super-ancient human and alien mysteries throughout the Americas.

250,000-year-old tools in Mexico?! | Hueyatlaco mystery
(Awakened Epochs) What if humans arrived in the Americas not 12,000 years ago but 250,000 years ago? This is the forbidden story of Hueyatlaco, a Mesoamerican archeological site in central Mexico that mainstream history tried to erase.

Discovered in the 1960s and excavated by Smithsonian-backed archeologists, Hueyatlaco revealed stone tools buried beneath volcanic ash dated between 250,000 and 800,000 years old.

When scientists published their results, careers were destroyed, artifacts were confiscated and vanished, and armed men shut down the dig and hounded the participants.

From vanished bones displayed at the Smithsonian, to uranium-series dating, diatom analysis, and eyewitness accounts of suppression, this case challenges everything we think we know about the ancient peopling of the Americas.

Could humans or something like humans, have been in Mexico long before Homo sapiens sapiens supposedly left Africa? Or was this prehistory deliberately buried?

Watch as Awakened Epochs uncovers one of the most controversial and important archeological enigmas of all time.

Archeology cover-up: Hueyatlaco, Mexico

Exposing biggest cover up in archeology
Our indigenous Nahuatl Mexico
(INCREDIBLE HISTORY) In 1959 Juan Armento Camacho found an old bone with scratches, artwork of a hunting scene. It was carved on "green" (young, fresh) bone.

It could be carbon dated. It turned out to be at least 10,000 years old. Some things at this site are 250,000 years old.

Hueyatlaco is an archeological site in the Valsequillo Basin near the city of Puebla, Mexico.

The Mexica tribe "Aztecs" made a country.
After excavations in the 1960s, the site became notorious due to geochronologists' analyses, which have found wildly contradictory estimates for human habitation at Hueyatlaco dating from ca. 370,000 to 25,000 years before present (ybp) [1, 2].

If correct, these controversial findings would substantially exceed the previous oldest-known evidence for habitation of the New World (the White Sands footprints dating roughly 22,000 ybp).

The findings at Hueyatlaco are the subject of continued debate by the scientific community and have seen only occasional discussion in the literature [3]. More

Death pays a visit, leaving ruin

We'll never die. We're not about to fall off this.
It's strange to face death. There Death is, here life be, who will win out? Eventually, Death (Mara) wins almost every time. It's the "almost" that's the key. When does it not win?

The Buddha and the arhats (fully enlightened beings) do not die. It may seem as if they do. They go away. The reason they do not "die" is because death necessarily entails rebirth. Where there is birth, necessarily there is death. With death comes rebirth, with birth comes redeath. This is the cycle of endless suffering known among the Indian religions as samsara.

We die and are reborn, not arhats who no longer cycle.
It is not quite correct to say "endless" because it can be brought to an end, to cessation, and deconstructed. It is just as well to refer to it as endless because it will not be ending by itself. Samsara has no expiration date, no natural completion, no coming to a standstill on its own.

So long as there is fuel, the fire keeps raging. What fuels samsara? Karma (activities) rooted in attachment, aversion, and ignorance (the Three Poisons usually rendered greed, hatred, and delusion or lobha, dosa, and moha). Since each act has the power to produce an exponential number of results (vipaka and phala), it will not be exhausted anytime soon.

This problem of death -- the loss of everything we love and are attached to in our foolishness as if the things we love and cling to were not of a nature to fall away -- was solved by the Buddha. This is the great significance of his great awakening (maha bodhi).

What does it matter to us? Good for him that he overcame all that can harm and upset. But what about us? That's just it! He did not awaken and depart. He awakened and stayed for 45 years, teaching until he established the Dharma (Teaching) and a competent Sangha (a spiritual community of those successfully Taught). Now, what does "successful" mean?

It means that the Buddha and his fully enlightened disciples established a method of teaching that produces more and more enlightened disciples, both humans and devas. The ordinary Monastic Sangha or Spiritual Community of monks and nuns are a great treasure in the world because they study, memorize, and retain the Teaching.

By their practice of it, as well as that of non-monastic disciples, there is a constant supply of arhats, non-returners, once-returners, and the various kinds of stream-enterers (the most fruitful field of merit) in the world. These four categories or pairs of individuals (counted as those who experience the supramundane paths and fruits or magga-phala) constitute the "noble ones" (Aryan disciples).

The first stage of enlightenment or awakening results in a guarantee of enlightenment within at most seven more rebirths, but the arhat has made an end of all suffering and all further rebirth in this very life.

The Buddha taught his Teaching in a way that an ordinary individual of average intelligence could successfully practice it to the end of suffering in this very life/

Death is coming

It's odd to be reminded that we are but ephemeral phenomena, arising and passing away, hurtling toward destruction. "Not having been, they come to be; once having been, they cease." What does? The Five Aggregates clung to as self. What are those?

They are the constituents of being, called "aggregates" because there are heaps of them, categories of them. There is the feeling group (vedana khandha), the pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral. They are impermanent, unsatisfactory (disappointing), and impersonal.

It's unimaginable that they would be impersonal because they feel like they are the most personal things of all. But mindful observation of them with a mind intensified by the absorptions (jhanas) reveals how ephemeral they are, constantly rising and falling, unable to fulfill, and not at all under our control. They do not belong to us. Feelings feel and belong to feelings. It is, ultimately speaking, feeling that feels, not "us" -- not a me, myself, or I, not a self, soul, ego, personality, being, or atman.

We would never penetrate and accept this until we see it for ourselves with an open and intensified mind. In ignorance, we fear all sorts of things, including wisdom. But wisdom/the Truth has the power to set us free. Who will gain stream entry? Only those who penetrate this ultimate truth -- discerning in all things the Three Facts or Characteristics of All Existence.

Because the ultimate truth is everywhere the same, it can be realized anywhere. But it is much easier to realize in some places over others. The easiest place to realize it is on the human plane (the manussya loka), which extends far beyond the Earth we know.

  • Project Blue Beam is live? (Blakwoodz) Jan. 9, 2025: The LA fire has become massively unstable, consuming almost everything in its way. And it totally seems like this whole fire is not natural. It surely looks like everything that's going on is a planned event. Someone very powerful might be in control. The Hollywood Hills are on fire and evacuations are taking place right now. This is beyond control. Winds are widespread. Speculations have been raised, questions about whether this is Project Blue Beam being activated. Is it the mythical Anti-Christ [what Dr. Ammon Hillman calls the "antidote"] before the second coming of Jesus [the kristos or "anointed," who dosed himself by the application of an ointment of medicinal psychedelic-like compounds from poisons]. Exciting stories of life and death
I'm from Hollywood to make killing 'n dying cool
The fire raged on the mountain there in the distance. The wind blew it away, up and over the foothills. Who dreamt is could turn back and eat the town? The wind raged, cars exploded, and houses -- homes of real people -- were set ablaze by embers (or directed energy weapons). They would soon be incinerated. One could fight the valiant fight with a fire extinguisher. But it was too late, the flames too far gone, eating the roof, crawling into the walls. Buildings set one next to the other, sharing a wall, they would all come down. No firefighters fought these flames, but looked on overwhelmed. What are they for if not to fight and save buildings, property, people? Who knows? There were overtime wages to collect. A planned catastrophe made to look like just the confluence of natural circumstances, who can prove otherwise? Sure, there were arsonists at play, but were they coordinated, acting alone, part of a conspiracy? Insurers collect premiums but provide no replacement. It's just too big to cover one's worth of premiums. Of course, people were paying for many, many years only to get the shaft when they needed that protection. The government (we the people by another name) will bail them out. The CEOs already made their billions, why not privatize the profits and socialize the costs? It's the disaster-capitalist way. Just ask Naomi Klein. How long will we go on spinning in this spin cycle?

Aren't you tired of the tide?
Samsara is an ocean that pulls us out to sea, where we bounce around, cold, alone, only to drown in a whirlpool. Even if we struggle, join others, and hang in a long time, Death wins by coming on again. Is there no end to it?

Tower of strength takes to the sea
Scours ocean via quay
Same old story: muscle bound and gory
Brand new story: death without glory
Infinite story: so new, so hoary

Build a tower of strength and watch it weaken
Construct high hopes as the brightest beacon
Watch the seagulls eat the trash
You contemptuously ditch

Do you know a seagull?
Do you know a wreck?

Are you tired of the tide?
Are you tired of the tide?
Roll in a rock pool, come let's hide

Do you know a raging wind?
Do you know a seagull?
Do you know a wreck?
Do you know a raging wind?

Are you tired of the tide?
Are you tired of the tide?
Roll in a rock pool, come let's hide

Tower of strength takes to the sea, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

US volcano erupts, scientists warn of more

Jesus is named 'Son of Zeus' by EC
If the end of the world were coming, and it is not, it would be easy to work oneself up into a frenzy with all the headlines. There's rumbling in Kilauea, Hawaii, smoke and ash in Mexico City, and lightning bolts vitiating other active volcanos around the world in Europe and Asia. You'd think Zeus and Indra would be more careful where they're throwing those bolts. But it does make for spectacular footage in this strange world we've arrived at from elsewhere. We're not from here so it has got to be exciting that we're taking over the place and completely ruining it because not enough of us care to stop the strip miners and capitalists out to exploit it. Think a few more preserves would be in order? If the parrot fish do not mow the lawn and chew up the coral reef like they used to, maybe we should go into overdrive to keep the reefs we have and save them from overfishing and degradation. The cause is not warming seas (though bringing the average temperature down would be nice). Dr. Joel Wallach has found the cause and it is acidity brought about as a byproduct of dams. Water running out to sea used to bring massive amounts of base minerals washed out from the mountains. When this was prevented by damming up the sweet water, the seas became more corrosive to delicate living corals. If science knows that because he published it, one would think something would be done about it like transporting silt and sediments over the dam and into the sea like it used to flow. Eruptions are a great source of minerals, so we can say Gaia is just self-adjusting.

Indonesia volcano erupts = climate change

Major volcanic eruption in Indonesia triggers tsunami warning and evacuation of thousands
Images so spectacular, it's like AI imagined them
(AFP) Indonesian rescuers raced to evacuate thousands of people today (Thursday, 4/18/24) after a volcano erupted five times, forcing authorities to close a nearby airport and issue a warning about falling debris that could cause a tsunami.
Map is incomplete, not showing Japan, Taiwan
The crater of Mount Ruang flamed with lava against a backdrop of lightning bolts overnight after erupting four times on Wednesday, forcing authorities to raise its alert level to the highest of a four-tiered system.

The volcano on a remote island in Indonesia's outermost region was still billowing a column of smoke on Thursday morning, prompting authorities to shut the nearest international airport in Manado City on Sulawesi Island for 24 hours.  More

Lent: Origins of Ash Wednesday: remove meat

Dhr. Seven, Pfc. Sandoval, Crystal Quintero, Wisdom Quarterly

Meet me in the rectory for a "special" blessing.
"Ashes to ashes, funk to funk me, we know Major Tom's a junkie, strung out on heaven's high, hitting an all-time low," observes almost-Buddhist monk David Bowie (genius.com).

Where did it all begin? It surely wasn't with the Catholic ("Universal") Church, the great appropriator of all sorts of popular spiritual traditions it abrogates to itself with precious little explanation to its fan base.
  • Buddhism has a "Lent" called the Rains Retreat (Vas or Vassa), with fasting, meditating, studying, and staying at the vihara or temple complex as the monastics go into retreat.
  • The history of Mardi Gras is just as fun and exciting as the holiday itself
  • Please let me live for 40 days more.
One of Wisdom Quarterly's "Mexican Buddhists," Pfc. Sandoval, also being Catholic, wants a Lenten sacrifice, removing meat like Catholicism (and many other Christian groups, mainly Orthodox and Eastern Orthodox Ethiopian) originally called for until Vatican anti-popes like John Paul II watered the tradition down so much as to undermine it. The whole of Lent was originally about abstaining from killing and devouring animals, which is certainly kinder than the million animals killed a day in the USA for consumption with all the harm that does to the environment and climate.
Bless me, Padre, I want to go back to heaven.
Parishioners in the diocese like spectacle, cake (or communion wafers known as prasad in India and in Hinduism), along with all the candlelight, bells, recitations in a holy foreign language, and incense. It appeals to our sense of mystery and wonder.

Like most great spiritual things, India is the source. (Of course, Egypt and ancient Sumer) were replete with spiritual/religious hokum. It's not anything many civilizations were lacking -- except, oddly, one of the greatest, namely, the Indus Valley Civilization (IVC). Excavations have not revealed religious practices or temples, nor has anyone deciphered their pre-Sanskrit writings.

Some mornings I draw my forehead designs, others I just white it all out. Then I hit the pipe.
.
The West does asana in place of ashtanga.
The yogic sadhu ("holyman") tradition of spreading ashes all over one's body, with particular attention to designs on the forehead are definitely an ancient Indian custom. Wandering ascetics, not always having access to rivers (to wash away their sins, unskillful karma, or uncleanliness in) resorted to the very smart practice of smearing pyre ash all over themselves.

It is a great cleanser, absorbing oils and lifting dirt. It is then rubbed off like a facemask, revealing clean and rejuvenated skin. Think dry shampoo. Talcum powder became the custom in cold Europe, which needed to stay somewhat clean and not as smelly as the commoners. Cleanliness became close to godliness, which is odd because for so long it was not.

The mark of the good
Yoga practices are so cool and healthy.
Forehead art -- placing a mark (tilaka) as carefully as applied cosmetic makeup around the bindi or third eye, where Catholics now place a cross -- has been all the rage among holymen for centuries.

Incense ash will do, but pyre (cremation) ashes are more symbolic of being aware of death and accepting of our dust-to-dust journey in samsara (the continued wandering on of cyclical rebirths, which always end in death and redeaths).
That Saint Issa (Jesus Christ in India) would be aware of this practice is a certainty. See the scholarship of Holger Kersten, Nicolas Notovitch, and Swami Abhedananda.

It's a drishti (focal point) for darshan (to be seen as being holy), a puja (devotional) practice rededicating ourselves to our religious principles -- virtue and truth and the pursuit of all that is Good and to remind ourselves that life is fleeting.
  • Buddhism's 13 sane ascetic practices or "austerities" were established to counter the extreme asceticism of some yogis who, as ineffectual "penance" for their sins, would practice extreme self-mortifications that only harmed the body while not purifying the mind/heart, leading away from the spiritual goal of liberation (moksha) rather than toward it.
The Buddha is a Catholic saint. (No, really).
So just as St. Issa/Jesus did tapas (austerities) to purify his mind and heart and exercise his spiritual powers, it is good for use to follow suit.

First things first, it's that time of year to "remove meat" (Latin carnival), to prepare our bodies for Lent to burn away sin (shake off accumulated bad karma) from our spiritual body as a penance, as a sadhana. If Issa/Yshua/Jesus could endure 40 days of not eating, we can surely endure 40 days of indulging in all the great vegan fare now available.

People want to live forever (in heaven), but they won't even stop killing (or paying someone to kill) and devouring animals for even half a season?

Ash Wednesday: a holy day of prayer and fasting in many Western Christian denominations. It is preceded by Shrove Tuesday (aka Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, Pancake Day) and marks the first day of Lent, the six weeks of penitence (and sacrificing something we like by abstaining from it) before the rebirth that is Easter. It's the "long dark teatime of the soul" (Douglas Adams), as it were.

Fasting and abstinence
Not killing and not causing to kill, is that so hard? It's like the first commandment. Mercy.
Jesus was tempted in the wilderness, meditating alone without food -- and loving it.
.
Where'd you go? Unknown years of Jesus
Many Lent-observing Christian denominations emphasize making a Lenten sacrifice, as well as fasting and abstinence during the season of Lent. This is particularly true on Ash Wednesday.

The First Council of Nicaea spoke of Lent as a period of fasting for 40 days [as a means of mental, physical, and spiritual purification] in advance of Easter.

Whatever the Council's original intent, this 40-day fast came into wide practice throughout the church [38].

While starting a Lenten sacrifice on Ash Wednesday (e.g., giving up porn, masturbating, meat, or cussing, or cellphone use), it is customary to pray for strength to keep it through the whole season of Lent.
  • All such sacrifices (abstentions) are good tapas (austerities) performed for the sake of self-purification. If nothing else, they bring into sharp relief our bad habits, energy drains, and clear away distractions and deviance from leading the kind of "good life" we'd like to live. It's better if no one tells us what to give up. We know. We ourselves can see. It's just that letting go is so hard because we've built all sorts of supports to our harmful behaviors that have mortared our habits in place. Just do it. Let go. It's only temporary. Pick up the bad habits in 40 days.
Many often wish others a similar blessing: "May God bless your Lenten sacrifice" [39]. In many places, Christians historically abstained from all food for a whole day until the evening, and at sunset, Western Christians traditionally broke the Lenten fast, which is often known as the Black Fast [40, 41].

In the Ethiopian Church, one of the oldest in all of Christianity, eating vegetarian/vegan food was considered fasting, so one is at no risk of starving. A plant-based diet is a cruelty-free, compassionate, and smart choice to survive and thrive spiritually and physically. Just look at yogis.

Ash Wednesday: 40 days of LENT begin

Lent begins. Penance is for penitent Catholics, so let's get going with the guilt. Get on yer knees and apologize to the God before He smites ya. And say "sorry" to His son, too. Go on. (The Holy Mother/Wife, a manifestation of compassionate Kwan Yin has already forgiven you that you might forgive others, like us, friends).

"Holy Week" allegedly commemorates a week in Jesus the Nazarene’s life. In it are the days between Lazarus Saturday and sexy pagan holy days leading up to Easter (formerly important in the worship of the Goddess Eostre), spring, in the rebirth of their devaputra, or "son of god," any being reborn among the celestial devas.

Holy Week has Fat Tuesday (aka Mardi Gras), Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, and other special days. This was the most important week in the earthly life of Jesus (Y'shua, Joshua, Saint Issa). But the tradition of smearing ashes on the forehead goes back much earlier than Christianity and Judaism. It is an Indian custom, where pyre ashes known as tilak (similar to the bindi) decorate the forehead.
Why do Roman Catholics in the U.S. worship the Madonna? Oh, not this Madonna!

When is Lent (the fasting period)?
Catholicism borrows from religions
Lent will be observed from February 22nd to April 8th this year (2023). It is a fasting [vegetarian food only, as it used to be observed and still is in places like super-Christian Ethiopia/biblical Kush] period of religious observance in the Christian liturgical calendar, marking the 40 days that Jesus spent fasting in the desert, enduring temptation by Satan, the Devil. It is a period of grief, which is ended by a grand celebration of Easter [when mushrooms are hunted in their oval white or colorful form among the spring grass]. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends approximately six weeks later. More
Going to church on Sunday is bad enough, but we're going to Mass tonight, too?
