Earth Day Vegan Farm Garden (Findhorn LA)

We live in the city, the Big City, one of the biggest. Tillable soil comes at a premium. So we want to farm, garden, and harvest with the help of Nature and the woodland devas (dryads, nymphs, fairies) as well as the elves, kumbhandas, and gnomes, like they did at Findhorn. We have less than an acre to work with, some of which is invaded by lawn grass. The intentional community is ready, and to get more volunteers and fieldhands, we'll have a pagan sensuality participation-optional event after what we've planted sprouts. Since they won't plant an organic farm garden at our friends' Zorthian Ranch to make use of the land, we'll have to do it. CB, our permaculture teacher at the LA Arboretum, taught us well.

Compassionate gardening and farming means keeping the animals alive for the ecosystem.

The Findhorn Ecovillage is at the heart of the largest single intentional community in the United Kingdom. It is a synthesis of some of the very best of current thinking on sustainable human settlements. It is a constantly evolving model [and example] used as a learning environment by a number of university and school groups as well as by professional organizations and municipalities worldwide.
