London: 1 million march for Palestine (video)


London 11/11/23: Million march for Palestine
(ReelNews) Nov. 12, 2023: In the second biggest demonstration ever seen in the UK (England), around one million people (many of them Jews) marched in support of a Free Palestine, opposing Israel's bombardment and killing of children, innocents, journalists, ambulance drivers, doctors, and hospital workers.

These are all being killed with weapons provided the US and UK even as Israel's IDF is killing noncombatants on purpose, targeting them with impunity as "collateral damage" who need to be killed to kill declared targets. So this is a march for a Free Palestine, demanding a ceasefire and an end to Israel's illegal occupation (colonial settlements) and an end to its illegal apartheid system.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman's disgusting attempts to ban the peace march (which she ludicrously called a "hate" march) -- and then when the police refused to ban it, to encourage fascists onto the streets to mobilize against it -- failed spectacularly.

The result was an unforgettable day, with a wonderful atmosphere, and completely peaceful -- in stark contrast to the fascist mobilization a mile away at the Cenotaph, who ended up fighting with the police, chanting during the 2-minute silence to honor the dead in previous conflicts, and upsetting many of those who had gathered there for Armistice Day.

We haven't bothered giving those dimwits any exposure in this video, but make no mistake, the struggle for a Free Palestine is an anti-fascist struggle and a struggle against both antisemitism and islamophobia (another kind of antisemitism), as pointed out by people in the huge Jewish bloc on the march.

Now the struggle needs to notch up yet again. Braverman is a dangerous tool who needs to be forced out of office, while the huge support in the UK for a ceasefire needs to be turned into more serious action.

BDS: Boycott, Divest, Sanction Israel
If our "United States of War" government-for-profit won't do something, we'll have to!

Keep building the demonstrations, but now we need to seriously increase the boycott, divestment, and sanctions campaign (boycotting MacDonalds and Starbucks being a good start) and, crucially, use our power as workers to halt the deadly arms trade to Israel.

Yesterday showed how big and how potentially powerful this movement is getting. Now let's use that power to bring Israel's horrific genocide to a halt.
