But for those who haven't made the trip themselves or haven't heard of the event until now, here’s a quick rundown for what to know about Burning Man.

Burning Man began Aug. 24, 2024, but no one has to go there to get a glimpse of the playa ("beach"). A live webcast is broadcasting the annual festival 24 hours a day through the finale on Monday, Sept. 2, 2024.
