El Chapo's son captured then released during massive shootout in Mexico
(CBS, Oct. 18, 2019) During a shootout in Culiacan between militarized Mexican authorities and the rich and powerful Sinaloa Cartel, the son of notorious, imprisoned drug boss Joaquin “El Chapo [Shorty]” Guzman was captured. But then due to the superior fire power and number of henchmen who responded, he was summarily released. CBS News legal analyst Rikki Klieman speaks with CBSN about why authorities released him, even while the United States has an active transnational warrant out for his arrest.

Will vigilantes be given immunity at border?
This seems like a nice staged event to give the CIA/DEA/FBI the justification and PR to go in and "do what Mexico isn't able to do," namely, whatever we want them to do. So does this justify an invading force of militarized U.S. police to go in and extract another accused cartel leader? El Chapo was put through the kangaroo court of U.S. drug dealing justice. Is his son next using this pretext for violating international extradition laws? Stay tuned.
