Happy birthday, Guitar Hero Jimi Hendrix

A Jimi Hendrix 80th memorial birthday celebration (Part 1)
(Artie B. Rockin') The king of rock guitar, born 1942, turns 80 on Nov. 27th. ABR put this together on Audacity in remembrance of the master guitarist and Black American. Fact... Jimi will always be the best of the best articulate, innovative, sexiest, humblest, [conservative pro-war hippie who told Dick Nixon when he met him] master lead guitarist.

The first two tracks are from the ATM series "old" apartment tape, commonly referred to as "The Drake Hotel Demos." Jimi is solo, practicing some great tunes for the upcoming third album, Electric Ladyland. One can even hear him turn the page of this 1983 tune he wrote as he plays. That's pretty cool! The other tune is an isolated guitar track of Jimi performing "3rd Stone from the Sun" from the first album, with great lyrics and great music.

Respect to Janie Hendrix, the great protective little sister of Jimi's. Janie Hendrix is the CEO of Experience Hendrix as well as the executive director of the Jimi Hendrix Park Foundation. The 2.5-acre park located in Seattle, Washington, is a community gathering space honoring the Seattle-born artist’s legacy. As executive director for the Hendrix family, she's super up on protecting and blocking most any Hendrix that YouTube allowed with a copyright claim.

Her team will definitely seek out and find violators, resulting in an X strike against them. I understand why, and she is correct in doing that with pre-recorded albums, videos, and so on that are for purchase.

But I wish she weren't pulling the reigns so tightly for sharing unreleased material, as I share. It can put X strikes, permanently kicking one off YouTube. I should have had at least 35 great-sounding Jimi concerts posted to share. YT has tagged me with red blocks many times for Hendrix. No one else is as harsh as his material being blocked.

(Jon Butcher2) The future of Jimi Hendrix on YouTube: great covers

Since there is so much nicely recorded Hendrix material readily available and shared on many websites, the Hendrix Foundation has decided to release many bootlegged and officially unreleased concerts to listen to only on this web page and on the official Hendrix channel. I'm glad at least some I would have posted are being shared by Jimi's official YT page. So it comes down to this upload of Jimi being mostly allowed around the world. It has been partially blocked but only in Russia.

No copy infringement is meant by posting this. I'm just celebrating Jimi and sharing the love he gave all of us to enjoy forever. R.I.P. Jimi, forever in our hearts. Fly on, Sweet Angel.
