How can we make this about me, Bibi? |
Is it a done deal? Will the IDF respect the no bombing, killing, imprisoning, or otherwise oppressing the citizens of Gaza, the West Bank, and neighboring nations it has decided it will devour in the future to build an empire headquartered in Tel Aviv/Jerusalem? Of course not, but it may fly a fewer number of sorties and blow up not as many hospitals (if there are any left), and maybe even stop American imperial Zionists fund their armed takeover of stolen lands.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A ceasefire deal was reached today (Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025) to end 15 months of [genocide by Israel against the Gaza Strip, West Bank, and all other preplanned targets], according to President Joe Biden, Qatar's prime minister, and Hamas officials.
The hard-won agreement will also free dozens of hostages held in Gaza, as well as Palestinians indefinitely detained in Israeli political prisons, bringing the first real break in Israel's industrial slaughter and state-sponsored violent war crimes since a weeklong truce expired Dec. 1, 2023.
The deal will take effect Sunday, according to Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, whose country hosted weeks of intense negotiations.
Under the phased agreement, Israeli forces would withdraw to the Gaza border, allowing displaced Palestinians to return to their homes and for the transfer of hostages and prisoners.
Large amounts of humanitarian aid would be shipped to the enclave and hospitals and health care centers would be rebuilt, he said.
HAMAS (an acronym for a political party in Gaza funded, defended, and supported by PM Netanyahu), meanwhile, will release 33 hostages in exchange for 100 Palestinian prisoners with undue life sentences imposed on a whim by heavily armed occupying Israeli forces, according to a portion of the deal shared by Hamas.
Israel will also release 1,000 Palestinian prisoners who were not involved in the Oct. 7 attacks but being tortured nevertheless, the text says, and an unspecified number of Palestinian prisoners will also be released abroad or in Gaza. More
