(The Alt Vault) BLACK SABBATH are back one last time(or maybe money will get them to do another farewell tour and sell out all over again like most dinosaur rockers with a ghoul like Sharon Osbourne managing the lead singer Ozzy) | Back to the Beginning.
How did "heavy metal" ever even start in 1968? - What are Black Sabbath's best songs?
Aha, Mr. Faust, you admit it!
What is Black Sabbath/Ozzy's best song? Sure there's "War Pigs," "Iron Man," "Paranoid" (final song of the night), "Bark at the Moon," "Crazy Train," but sincerely it has to be the one that stayed relevant and fresh, the one that started it all, "Black Sabbath." It's a masterpiece that, with its down tuning, may have started the genre of dark heavy metal or black metal. (Although "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is pretty good, too, for a pretty song, even "Snowblind"). With Pantera and other legends wishing them a farewell, can BS really say goodbye?
"When the dust has settled and you're born again, maybe as a Martian Church, maybe then you'll see that your reality was squashed into banality, was squashed into banality," sing anarcho-punks Rudimentary Peni.
This wunderkind is a one-man-band and a punk
This morning Jordan of the "Heidi and Frank Show" on classic and extreme metal rock radio station KLOS 95.5 FM Los Angeles made a discovery, a third grade 8-year-old named Ryder B (ryderBmusic.com), the reincarnation of Axle Ross (the dead leader of Machine Gunz 'n' Petalz, a grimy Sunset Strip outfit that would have been big if he hadn't had mental issues and committed an Uzi suicide because of a bad case of agoraphobia that made him unable to deal with his bandmates, audiences, and the music industry in general). Like Axle he insists, "I Wanna Be Alone," and put it into a song, a future punk rock classic with a message: "Get off my [blank]!"
. You're eight! Where did you pick up such language?! And what do you know about having to be alone? Go to your room! But his dad is backing him. Fans of the youthful punk-Rockettes The Linda Lindas are likely to be charmed by this prodigy and future guitar god. More
Don't boss me around and get off my @$$ because I wanna be alone!

(Wochit.com) Compton's own Kendrick Lamar and electro-rockers LCD Soundsystem will headline the 2016 FYF Fest, LA's annual two-day music festival in August. Tame Impala, Grace Jones, Young Thug (Jeffrey), Beach House, and Grimes will also perform, marking perhaps the most impressive lineup to date for the festival, which started in 2004 and takes place at the Los Angeles Sports Arena & Exposition Park. Last year, Morrissey and Kanye West headlined -- the rapper being a last-minute (though hardly disappointing) replacement for Frank Ocean. Kendrick Lamar and LCD Soundsystem will also headline New York's Panorama Festival in July. feeds.mashable.com
Q: With all the music "festivals" going on in Southern California and the world, what are hipsters to do?
A: Save their money for this weekend's FYF Fest (fyffest.com) featuring Kendrick Lamar and Tame Impala followed by LCD Soundsystem and Grace Jones, plus too many supporting acts to mention.

Roots Revival: Eagle Rock Music Fest
The Eagle Rock Music Festival (ERMF) revives its mission and music this Saturday [8/20/16] with Orgone, Dengue Fever, Leftover Cuties, Jungle Fire, Boogaloo Assassins, and many others
What to do when your eclectic neighborhood music festival grows so popular that its success threatens to alienate the very people it’s intended to celebrate? In the case of Eagle Rock Music Festival, which launched in 1998, the answer was to regroup, downscale and rededicate.
In recent years ERMF attendance numbers hit six digits, which presented uncomfortable challenges for the community-oriented event.
Last year it was postponed as organizers took time out to consult with entities including the Los Angeles City Council, the Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council, and Occidental College to study various ways to keep it healthy yet still responsive to the local citizens and businesses it was created to serve.
Thus the shift from its usual early-October slot to this Saturday -- presumably a more family-friendly date -- and a strong lineup of mostly homegrown soul, funk, rock, and world artists.More
Echo Park Rising
South of Eagle Rock in the direction of DTLA, home of Dodger Stadium which just featured two nights of Guns n' Roses' "Not in this Lifetime" comeback tour, is a part of L.A. called Echo Park.
"Echo Park Rising" (epr.la/schedule) is a celebration of local and relocated bands from around the world. They all come here, Nashville, or New York to make it in the music business. And here they are playing a two-day festival that, sadly, competes with the Eagle Rock Music Fest.

(Njoy) Jade, 22, graduated with a degree in fashion from Manchester Metropolitan Univ. in the summer of 2015. But rather than work in the world of fashion, Jade -- porn star name "Carly Rae Summers" -- has decided to pursue a career in pornography. This documentary film follows Jade as she embarks on her new full-time career, traveling to shoots in London, Barcelona, and Prague, and explores the practical and ethical issues that surround a young female porn actress in Britain today. Why would a well-educated young woman with a range of career options choose to pursue porn as a career?
My new keyboard only has two keys.
(WQ) A frank exploration of the issues that surround pornography and the exploitative porn industry.
What is pornography? Unlike "obscenity," it's easy to spot -- nudity, arousal, prurient interest, debased images, violence, exploitation, harassment, rape, incest, coercion, force, fraud...
Many Westerners in this generation have been brought up on porno -- easy access to every type of boat-floating images, video, and animation.
What is porn?
Advice: Porn (BBC.com) It is any material (words, sounds, pictures) designed to be sexually arousing. Anatomy pictures may be sexually explicit, but not intended to be arousing. That's the difference.
How big is the porn industry?
Yazidi sex slave, post acid attack (AP)
Almost all adults have seen some type of pornographic material by choice or accident. Since the arrival of the internet, pornography is far more readily available and less regulated.
Around 25 percent of all internet searches are for pornographic content, and on average almost 30,000 people are looking at porn at any given second.
Shockingly, an investigation by the London School of Economics found that 90 percent of youngsters between... More

(CBS Los Angeles) Guns n' Roses (GNR) kicks off two nights at Dodger Stadium, L.A.
The Coachella Music and Art Festival, which repeats over two weekends (April 16 and 23, 2016), is one of the most overblown and disappointing events of the year...so why pay $300+ for it?
(T17) What real tickets look like (wristbands that need activation).
Some people sneak in, like this Rainbow Tribe of warriors -- Caucasian, Latino, and Asian: Chaz Klein, Andrew Rodriguez, and Tak Kamihagi make it behind the hallowed fences of a giant lawn used as a polo field in the heat of the Southern California desert with 80,000 or so paying attendees. They sneak into Coachella, which takes no special talent but just chutzpa, cojones, or ɡāo wán.
Drunk, peeing in public, and sleeping in a Prius all for one glorious weekend of heatstroke, trying to eat, dealing with sunburn, finding water, crashing in the cold, and trying to meet girls without a toothbrush or any other hygiene.
See how they do, see how much fun they pretend to have, see how good their Facebook pages look for being at the biggest show in April. Filmed in 2015. They will not try it again this year. And if they do, they promise to film it and put it up in our faces.
Guns n' Roses -- with Axl and Slash side by side (but in their own primadonna worlds) -- played a small club in Hollywood recently as the ramp up for two massive Coachella shows.
We thought Chinese Democracy would never arrive! Has it? Has what? That album. Who knows, who cares, people just want to hear the oldies. GNR played almost 20 songs for a crowd made up almost exclusively of celebrities like Jim Carey and Lenny Kravitz and diehard fans who paid $10 (plus fees).
Coachella is sold out, but get tickets on Craigslist, on site (from fans), or from professional ticket resellers (with a major bump in price). Or just watch it here live.
There was no way fans could actually get in. Line up all night long and get bupkis for the trouble. Try to sneak in and get bounced. Try to show a ticket and be bumped for someone famous showing up at the door with nothing but star power. It was an old-time concert for Hollywood bigwigs and insiders.
(KROQ) Who in the H is DJ Nicole Alvarez? Blink-182 interview.
On short notice, Guns n' Roses announced an old-time Troubadour club show for fans.
DJ Nicole, a big GNR fan, tells it like it is, the good, the bad, and the sh*tty (kroq.com).
.
I loved it but, c'mon guys, kiss and make up.
But KROQDJ Nicole Alvarez knows somebody who knows somebody, and she got in. She reported what she saw to Kevin and Bean:
GNR were great, only an hour and ten minutes late, Axl is not bald nor sporting that stupid corn row wig held to his scalp with a big bandana everybody loves, he can't hit all the high notes but he's energized, he did SIX costume changes one of which included bringing out the bandana. Slash is in top form, looking good and sounding great. The problem? Axl and Slash are in their own worlds, which means they're getting along at a minimal level. So don't expect a real GNR show if you're going to either of the two Coachella shows, but more a two-man showcase, each pretty good and happening at the same time but might as well be on two different planets, say, Mercury and Pluto.
Axl Rose, the [blankest] man in rock 'n roll.
The original percussionist was not on stage. The drummer almost showed up when his current band cancelled a show at another Hollywood club, but he's sick. Is that Duff on stage, or is he turning his back on all that Coachella money? Quien sabe.
The Troubadour is a tiny, filthy club the City of West Hollywood below the Sunset Strip. It holds about 500 and was almost full by people dazzled that this show actually went off. Because even if GNR plays a show, it's never the whole band or that old spirit that was once there.
Guns N' Roses -- fans trying to get THOUSANDS off a $10 investment (4/1/16) Guns
N' Roses fans are turning their $10 wristbands into huge moneymakers...possibly getting up to $4,000 for just one of the golden tickets to
Friday night's show.

Small gecko under the Buddha's gorgeous middle finger sits protectively (Ursula/UWW)
There is a golden Buddha in the center of the infamous Golden Triangle, the former crossroads of nefarious activity between mountainous Thailand, Burma, and Laos. Where Theravada Buddhist cultures now meet and mingle, drug lords once ran Chinese money in exchange for opium, heroin, human trafficking, and sundry warlord activity like Southeast Asian and CIA money laundering.
It was a den of iniquity, a big den, the size of a jungle. When Axl Rose first sang "Welcome to the Jungle," he probably had this triangular patch in mind as a counterpart the ruined asphalt grid called Los Angeles and in particular its concrete capital HollywoodLand. But intrepid traveler and photographer Ursula_in_Aus (Ursula_Bkk when in Bangkok) has a backstory to accompany these beautiful pictures.
Golden Triangle
Ursula_in_Aus (edited, abbreviated by Wisdom Quarterly)
...Google “Golden Triangle.” One of the
entries that pops up relates to Euclidean geometry and a golden ratio
that forms the hypotenuse of the golden or sublime triangle: a magical isosceles with “divine” proportions. It is the
basis for perfect pentagrams and logarithmic spirals.
But Asia's Golden Triangle is 950,000 square
kms of mountainous jungles that, until the early 21st century, was
responsible for most of the world’s heroin production.
The contradictory “divine” heart of this triangular region is a golden Buddha, joyfully and soberly sitting
at the at confluence of the Ruak and Mekong rivers, the intersection of three countries that form the triangle.
The first time I visited this giant marvel, it struck me how imposing the image was, sitting so serenely, facing and overlooking Thailand,
apparently oblivious to the gambling casinos across the waters behind
it (gambling being the least of the area's vices). More
