Sexist Mexico now more progressive than northern neighbor USA: female president, pro-choice law, ET revelations

Alien bodies displayed in Mexico | Maussan shares details of UFO findings | N18V
(CNN-News18) Sept. 16, 2023: For Jaime Maussan, who lives and works in the USA, a Mexican journalist and longtime UFO reporter, they are one of the most important discoveries in the history of humankind. But for many scientists these two tiny, mummified bodies [who look a lot like Hollywood's "ET"] with elongated heads and three fingered hands, images of which were beamed around the world this week when they were presented to Mexico's Congress, are an already-debunked -- perhaps criminal -- stunt [never mind that X-rays and MRI scans show they are biological entities, one with eggs inside]. #mexico #alien #alienbody #englishnews #cnnnews18 #news18

Riots in France over Dictator Macron (video)

France strikes: Violent clashes, fires, and teargas mar Dictator Macron's vision
(Bloomberg Television) March 27, 2023. Protests continue across France against Dictator President Emmanuel Macron’s unpopular bill to increase the retirement age from 62 to 64.

[That, of course, is not the only complaint but the one made much of by the Western press to belittle the French as if they were so lazy that this increase would cause French society to fall apart.]

Bloomberg's Caroline Connan looks at what it means for his political future.

Protests continue, escalate after Macron pushes through pension reform in France
(ABC News) March 28, 2023. #pension #abcnews #france ABC News’ Ines de la Cuetara breaks down the latest on the protests in Paris after French Dictator President Emmanuel Macron pushed through reforms to the country’s pension program.

"France is furious": Anger grows at Macron for raising retirement age as millions strike and protest
(Democracy Now!) March 24, 2023. French unions say nearly 3.5 million people took to the streets Thursday in a nationwide general strike to protest Pres. Emmanuel Macron's deeply unpopular move to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64.

Dictator Macron forced the legislation through the French National Assembly last week, using a constitutional clause to bypass a parliamentary vote. Macron's government survived a vote of no confidence Monday by just nine votes, but public anger shows no signs of abating, with France's major trade unions planning another nationwide protest for Tuesday.

"Not only is the government trying to do this pension reform that people see as fundamentally unfair, but they're ignoring historically large protests even by French standards," says journalist Cole Stranger from Marseille. His new guest essay in The New York Times is headlined "France is furious." Latest shows

Breasts: Euro implants; banning small breasts

Amber Dorrian, Wisdom Quarterly

British women sue over French breast implants
Breast implants produced in France by PIP (Poly Implant Prothese) spell trouble and possible cancer for victims of plastic surgery disasters. Up to 30,000 French women and perhaps tens of thousands more around the world may need to have their defective breast implants removed after several suspicious cancer cases, officials said on Dec. 20, 2011.

Banning small breasts in Australia
Australia's government is "banning" adult publications and films featuring women with "small breasts," says Aussie activist Fiona Patten, on the grounds that such images encourage pedophilia. Patton, leader of the anti-censorship Australian Sex Party, is taking issue with a 2005 ruling which specified that even depictions of women who are over 18 but "appear to be" underage may be judged "illegal." Is this alleged practice a strategic way to fight child pornography, or -- as Patten maintains -- an absurd reaction to a perfectly normal female body type?

Paris Hilton's manufactured spirituality

When Paris Hilton was seen with a Buddhist monk, shopping at Bodhi Tree exploring New Age titles, that was only part of her carefully cultivated public image. A new documentary shows just how carefully this public image is being micromanaged to gain celebrity.

"Paris, Not France" reveals smarter side of Hilton

TORONTO -- Paris Hilton's new reality show, the documentary "Paris, Not France," reveals a not-so-simple life in which the dumb blonde of her TV infamy is scarcely to be found. Director Adria Petty gained rare access to Hilton and her inner circle, presenting a behind-the-scenes portrait of the privilege, preening, and planning that went into creating the Hilton tabloid phenomenon.

From family videos of grade-school-aged Hilton...to brisk marketing meetings at which she and advisers discuss the "Paris" brand, the documentary offers a lively, sympathetic glimpse into the business of being a manufactured celebrity adored by many and despised by many more.

"I really wanted to make a film about her that was not negative but that wasn't stupid, that really explored the voyeurism inherent in her creation as a new media star," said Petty, the 33-year-old daughter of rocker Tom Petty, in an interview at the Toronto Int'l Film Festival a day after "Paris, Not France" premiered.
