Walking across US border to TJ, Mexico

(Cecil Travels) I crossed the border between San Diego (Alta California, US) and Tijuana (the largest city in Baja California, MX, often affectionately referred to as TJ) to see if all the terrifying tales of drug cartels, MS-13 gang members, prostitutes, donkeys, cunning dealers, clueless mules, underage drunken American partying, kidnappings, and human trafficking were true. What I found shocked me.

Executions of Pretti, Good, anti-ICE riots

“ICE Out”: Tens of thousands march in Minnesota in general strike against immigration raids

.
We will not stand for Trump's America on ICE
Peaceful and legal protests and demonstrations have intensified in Minnesota after federal immigration agents killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old ICU nurse [like they executed Nicole Good, a 37-year-old mother] who worked in the Minneapolis Veterans Health Care System, on Saturday.

ICE: Shoot 'n keep shootin
Democracy Now!'s
John Hamilton reports from the scene where innocent Pretti was shot to death, where protesters are clashing with federal agents.

“We’ve seen everything from [teargassed] people that are unconscious, that have fainted, tear-gassed, bruised, bloody noses, can’t breathe,” said Melissa, a local resident.

State Senator Omar Fateh responded to the killing with outrage: “He had a camera on his hand. He was tackled, he was pummeled, and he was executed.” VIDEO:

Racist agents enforce racism with impunity.
Democracy Now! speaks with a former colleague of Alex Pretti, the 37-year-old ICU nurse ICE shot to death, acting as Trump's federal agents in Minneapolis on Saturday. Dr. Aasma Shaukat, who hired Pretti for a research job over a decade ago, says he lived with “kindness, compassion, and a strong sense of civic duty to help his fellow citizens.” VIDEO:

We must get rid of immigrants (Simpsons)

(Gangstagrass) This BS has been going on for generations. Which BS? A 1996 episode of The Simpsons tried to warn us. List of The Simpsons episodes (Wikipedia).

Trump says USA voted for him to be a Hitler.
Satire
is a dangerous thing in a post-ironic world with so many citizens suffering from severe irony deficiency, but we carry on. Did viewers send strongly worded complaint letters to The Simpsons, protesting this comically ironic episode? Blaming a scapegoat was done then, and Trump does it now. It seems Hitler's Nazis did it, too, and biblical Jews before them, where it was literally invented that Yaldabaoth (Yahweh) demanded blood, blood sacrifice, and killing to cleanse the people with blood.

Save our wild bears
Momma her and baby bear cubs in the wild
The Center and Alaska Native Tribes just sued the Trump administration for trading away public lands to allow a destructive road through Izembek National Wildlife Refuge. The road would slice through crucial migratory bird habitat and wreak havoc on beloved Arctic species like [the charismatic megafauna and keystone species like] grizzly bears, caribou, and endangered Steller's eiders. We are fighting to protect this invaluable refuge and our partner Tribes' subsistence traditions. Give Now to Save the Wild

Jeff did it. I just watched. I mean, I never knew!
The first suit over the alleged rapes [child molestations of child under 14 by Trump and Epstein] was filed in federal court in Riverside, California, in April by someone acting without an attorney and using the name “Katie Johnson.” That suit named both Trump and Epstein as defendants, alleging that the two men held Johnson as a “sex slave” and repeatedly forced her to engage in sexual acts against her will. (DRM News) Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi gives historic first speech in English

Women should stay in their place, except me.

Heavy metal rocker, motorcyclist, arch conservative, anti-feminist, Iron Maiden-loving new prime minister of Japan. Feminism has sure helped a lot of anti-feminists without being appreciated.

Dragon Iron Lady PM Takaichi
(CBS News) Oct. 21, 2025: (Average tenure of a new prime minister is currently 16 months, so good luck, Iron Lady. She's conservative, very conservative, so will she be a female Trump?) Japan's parliament elected the country's first female prime minister, Sanae Takaichi, 64, on Tuesday morning (Oct. 21). CBS News foreign correspondent Anna Coren has more details.

Irish Latinos: Somos paisanos (comedy)

Irish-Mexican boxing champ 'Cinnamon Barrigan' aka Canelo Alvarez
I'm not Irish. I'm purely Mexican.
Canelo
in Spanish is the masculine form of the word "cinnamon," which is a common nickname for redheads [19].

Jicama con chile (mx.pinterest.com)
In Mexico, it is common for people to associate red hair with the Irish soldiers who fought for Mexico. They were Los Patricios, "Saint Patrick's Battalion," during the Mexican–American War. Speaking about his ancestry, Canelo Álvarez once said, "There might have been an Irish grandfather somewhere back in my past" [18]. Canelo's neighbors nicknamed him "Jícama con Chile," which translates as "white root with red chili flakes" — a popular snack in Mexico and Los Angeles [20]. Mexican Independence Day: El Grito

(eastla-parade.com)
Hispanic Heritage Month begins today (Sept. 15th). How is it celebrated? As with most Mexican things, delicious food is involved. Unable to stop the British Empire's intrusion west, Mexico fought a war to expel Spain (France and other European occupiers) during the Mexican War of Independence. It was ultimately successful not on Cinco de Mayo (which was just a successful battle against French forces expelling them from Puebla, near the largest pyramid in the world in Cholula).

It's National Hispanic Heritage Month
In Spanish es el Mes nacional de la herencia hispana, which is observed annually from September 15 to October 15 in the United States for recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic culture to this nation's achievements, culture, and history. More

Grand Marshal Jose Hernandez
Food, live music, dance performances, and more are on tap for the 79th annual East L.A. Mexican Independence Day Parade and Festival. Astronaut and current University of California Regent José M. Hernández is the parade’s grand marshal.

In a year that has been challenging for the Mexican American (Chicano) community in L.A., it’s a great opportunity to get out and celebrate all that makes East Los Angeles and LA's largest immigrant community (some say its new majority) so vibrant, unique, and joyous.
What is there to eat this month? Decolonize Your Diet
More than just a cookbook, Decolonize Your Diet redefines what is meant by "traditional" Mexican food by reaching back through hundreds of years of history to reclaim heritage crops as a source of protection from modern diseases of development.

Authors Luz Calvo and Catriona Rueda Esquibel are life partners. When Calvo was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, they both radically changed their diets and began seeking out recipes featuring healthy, vegetarian (then vegan) Mexican foods.

Yeah, but will it taste good with spice and guac?
They promote an eating lifestyle that is rich in plants indigenous to the Americas (amaranth, squash, corn, beans, greens, herbs, and seeds) and are passionate about the idea that Latinos in America, specifically Mexicans, need to ditch the fast food and return to their own culture's food roots for both physical health and spiritual fulfillment.

This veggie cookbook features over 100 colorful recipes based on Mesoamerican cuisine and also includes contributions from indigenous cultures throughout the Americas, such as kabocha squash in green pipian, aguachile de quinoa, mesquite corn tortillas, tepary bean salad, and amaranth chocolate cake.

Steeped in history but very much rooted in the contemporary world, Decolonize Your Diet introduces readers to the energizing and healing properties of a plant-based Mexican American diet. It is full-color throughout. Decolonize Your Diet: Plant-Based Mexican-American Recipes for Health and Healing

Why Trump and CIA want Venezuela: oil

Help me start wars, Elon. - I do. I work for MIC
"War on drugs"? Not this time. That's just an insufficient excuse for war crimes and psyops, planned and already performed. The exploding boat may have been AI propaganda, but sending 4,000 troops, ships, and now a fleet of fighter jets, that's nothing to do with drugs or two F-15s flying over a U.S. ship.

Trump Strongman Sec'y of State Marco Rubio (replacement for Jewish Antony Blinken and Democrat war criminal Hillary Clinton's replacement) strikes again for "Peace President" Trump, who is lying for war and the wholesale theft of oil, resources, and whatever riches it can take from the Americas, particularly Latin America.

Prof. Jeffrey Sachs spells it out: This has NOTHING to do with drugs or interdiction. This is all about regime change, fomenting a coup, and setting up a puppet leader (like maybe a Juan Guaidó) most friendly to the West. It's an old CIA tactic. See book

Political assassination of the new "ISIS": Tren de Aragua. It was not on the way to the U.S., nor could it have ever made it if it were. There do not seem to be 11 people on it and certainly no loads of "drugs." If anyone was killed or not, they certainly TERRORIZED millions.
