The Numerical Discourses of the Buddha
“The Numerical Discourses” (
Anguttara Nikaya) arranges the sutras of the Buddha according to a numerical pattern, grouping together sutras that revolve around the same number of items, from “The Book of the Ones” to “The Book of the Elevens.”
This class starts at 9:00 am with a 50-minute silent meditation. This is followed by a discussion of the sutras from 10:00 am to 11:20 am. This section of the class will continue with the study of “The Book of the Threes.”
