The advanced civilization that existed before humans
Ancient Aliens: The potential alloy of Atlantis (S12, E2) | History
(Insane Curiosity) Nagas (Silurians) are reptilian humanoids on and in Earth
Reptilian Silurians (serpents)?
Humans are always talking about extra exoplanets and alien worlds and how civilizations might be prospering on extrasolar planets, protected by the enormous distances involved. It's as if we take for granted that nearly 5,000,000,000 years of geological and biological evolution [alternating with periods of devolution] on Earth could have resulted in only one dominant form of intelligence: our species. Homo sapiens, the apex of evolution, the final, unique, and unrepeatable product of time? But what if this is not really what happened at all? What if before us, long before us, there was another terrestrial civilization? Is it really farfetched to think so? After all, complex life has existed for more than half a billion years. How sure are we that humans are the first intelligent species on this planet? Might there not have been a Cambrian civilization of intelligent trilobites, building underwater cities powered by hydrothermal vents? Or big-brained Cretaceous theropods capable of using tools and language? This is not as absurd as it sounds. On the scale of geological time, we have inhabited this planet for only an instant, and industrial civilization has existed for only a fraction of that instant. Moreover, if humans became extinct tomorrow, the relics of our societies wouldn't last long. Why these questions? Who are the Silurians?
