FINAL RESULT: Tyson loses to Paul by unanimous decision, no K.O.
First of all, let's get one thing straight. "The Buddha" didn't fight anyone. The Bodhisattva did. Who's the Bodhisattva? He was the Buddha before he became the Buddha (e.g., Siddhartha before supreme enlightenment -- the same stream, a different time). Before he has become the "Awakened One," he is referred to as the Bodhisatta or the "Being bent-on-supreme-enlightenment"). He for aeons before his great awakening (maha-bodhi) wandered through endless rebirths (samsara) not seeing the ultimate truth of Dependent Origination like the rest of us are still doing.
Is this fight a rip-off? They will be using sparring gloves with extra padding, instead of 12 rounds as is standard there will only be 8, and each of those 8 will be limited to 2 minutes each. All of this favors Paul, where the big money is. Bookies have taken a $1 million dollar bet and two $500,000 bets, all favoring Paul. All the small bets, from $5 to $100 are on Tyson. At the time, as the Bodhisatta striving for supreme enlightenment (samma-sam-bodhi), not ordinary enlightenment (bodhi), he was making foolish mistakes that would come back to haunt him, as ours do to us.
In one rebirth in particular, the Bodhisatta was a strong prizefighter, who would take to the ring and wrestle. He was a champion. In one match, he slammed an opponent down to the ground, injuring the fighter's back so severely that later, as the Buddha, he frequently suffered from excruciating back pain as a karmic consequence.
The pain was so bad that would make him unable to continue teaching. He would often have Ven. Sariputra, one of his chief disciples "foremost in wisdom," take over, while the Buddha laid down and rested. The pain got so bad as he got older that he had to resort to entering states of samadhi (jhana, "meditative absorption") to make it tolerable or put the physical pain into abeyance.
The explanation for the ultimate source of the Buddha's back pain is given in the Jataka Tales ("Rebirth Stories") as the playing out of karma (the vipaka and phala) from when he was a boxer, wrestler, fighter in the ring.
Do you think maybe the big election has something to do with the big fight? We are all dying to see a Black person beat the stuffing out of a cocky (he does call himself El Gallo, which is Spanish for "The Cock" after all) white person. WARNING: It could be bad karma to watch and/or applaud such savagery (as Edgar Cayce warns in the readings about spectating Coliseum matches and thereby sharing in the individualized collective karma of encouraging violence), and it absolutely is so if gambling. Bettors, be warned, financial logic dictates that Jake Paul is going to win, not because he's a better fighter or stronger or crazier or anything like that. He is likely to win because that makes much more money for them in the grudge match that comes next. How much are they making this time? Paul is being paid twice as much as Tyson ($40 million), and all the media hype tells you that Tyson is going to destroy him. Go with your emotions, and go to the poorhouse like everyone else.
This is strange because he did not attack his opponent violently and personally, but rather by mutual consent and in a professional capacity. They were both taking a chance, and no one thought the Bodhisattva was doing anything wrong for "just doing his job" of professionally fighting.
Heavy unskillful karma (demerit) was nevertheless generated, which came to fruition many times in his final rebirth as the Buddha. (Full enlightenment makes an end of all further rebirth and suffering).

Do not bet on this sport. Anyone who gambles with the ambition to win will be manipulated out of money. At least bet on the big picture, not the narrative being pitched. If we had to guess, Jake Paul is going to win. Why? Nothing to do with his fighting or ability, everything to do with showbiz, FBI gambits, and the way to spin a narrative for maximum profit. (Of course, it cannot even be guaranteed that Paul will take it because the real is act is waiting to see how the bets stack up: Which outcome produces the greatest number of losses for the greatest number of bettors? That's what sports bookies, statisticians, and fixers are all about calculating). Think about it. Who wants to see a big, hated monster with a lisp win and win again? No. Watch Rocky and take a Hollywood script writing class. To build drama for the next fight, Match 3, there has to be something big on the line like Tyson's pride, the belt, the record. That's what he gets paid millions for selling out. How do they calculate who should win? That's easy. How do they calculate who will win? That's trick. When the masses zig, the number crunchers and fixers have to zag. It's like setting the odds-on slot machines.
