The Buddha defined the Noble Eightfold Path-factor of right samadhi (concentration) as mastery of the first four meditative absorptions (jhanas). The dedicated Tibetan tradition of adhering to a meditation practice has led to deep reverence for Vajrayana. It has led to personal action (listening to the Dharma as well as practicing meditation, guided visualization, and virtue) and political action on behalf of the Free Tibet movement:
