Contemplating impermanence (live)

(Buddhist Insights) Ven. Sumitta (Lankarama Buddhist Vihara, La Puente, Los Angeles and University of the West), Ven. Los Angeles Sanathavihari, and a resident monk at Empty Cloud Monastery discuss how everything is in radical flux (anicca, impermanence, constantly altering, hurtling toward destruction). This is one of the Three Marks of all states of existence and one of the truths that prompt us to find an escape from this round of rebirth, suffering, and redeath. When we contemplate how things are constantly faltering, failing us, and impersonal, it becomes possible to let go and be free in the ultimate sense of realizing the beautiful truth of liberation (nirvana).
