Cutting Three Fetters, Reaching Enlightenment
Cutting the First Three Fetters | Ajahn Anan
(Ajahn Anan Dhamma, Independence Day, July 4, 2021) This is a recorded talk from June 23, 2007. The fetters of self-view (sakkaya-ditthi), skeptical doubt, and attachment to rules and rituals are what keep the cycle of death and rebirth going for limitless lifetimes. When one cuts these off through the strength of the Path Moments, the heart becomes much lighter. Steadily, the defilements (Äsavas) are reduced, until only purity remains.
