The USS Liberty "incident" was an attack by Israel on a United States Navy CIA research ship, the USS Liberty, and murder of many seamen not involved in the war. Members of the Jewish-Zionist Israeli Air Force purposely launched jet fighter aircraft and Israeli Navy motor torpedo boats at the American vessel on June 8, 1967, during Israel's aggressive Six-Day War against its neighbors.
