Zionist lobby fears Kneecap-Bibi backlash

‘What the Zionist lobby fears most’: Kneecap backlash and terrorism probe debate

Hands off artistic expression!
(Al Arabiya English) Al Arabiya is funded in whole or in part by the Saudi government.

May 9, 2025: Music and politics collide once again in this episode of CounterPoints with Melinda Nucifora.

Irish rap group Kneecap (who played Coachella in 2025 and is being banned from playing Glastonbury) has sparked global controversy with their pro-Palestinian statements, leading to cancelled shows, sponsor withdrawals, and a UK police investigation.

Is Glastonbury for artists or gov't censors?
Critics point to past [pro-Palestinian] chants and lyrics, while the band insists it is all artistic expression and irony, not incitement.

As cancel culture and free speech debates resurface, we ask:
  • US government's hands are soaked in blood.
Should there be limits to artistic freedom of expression?
  • Is this a case of selective outrage?
  • Are artists now too afraid to speak out?
