Trump LOSES: hit with $90 million fines

(Raw Story) Donald Trump on Friday was hit with a near-$90 million [83+5 million, plus legal fees, which he will probably shirk] verdict in [the post-rape of] E. Jean Carroll's defamation case, prompting the internet to react.

The former president was hit with a jury verdict exceeding $80 million for his defamation of the columnist, who was found by a jury to have been sexually assaulted [raped] by Donald John Trump in the 1990s.

Carroll said they ended up in a dressing room together, the door of which was shut, and Trump forcefully kissed her, pulled down her tights, and raped her before she was able to escape. This caused some to joke about where the money might come from. "And Mexico will pay for it," Democratic lawmaker Jared Moskowitz said in response to the massive verdict.

Former White House reporter Brian J. Karem had a question about the consequences of such an award. "I wonder how much the greens fees will rise?" he asked on Friday.

Legal writer Walter Olson wrote, "Man who vowed 'to open up those libel laws' so 'when they write purposely negative and horrible false articles, we can sue them and in lots of money' can look at life from both sides now."
