Heart cleansing binaural beats (audio)

Nu Meditation Music, March 8, 2015; Pat Macpherson, Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Binaural Beat Sleep Meditation: Heart (Anahata Chakra) Cleanse
This binaural beat recording is for "sleep meditation" to effortlessly cleaning the heart chakra (nexus of subtle energy) for a positive energy boost. It uses binaural beats and the sacred 639 hertz Solfeggio frequency as well as relaxing music as therapeutic modalities.

639 Hz Solfeggio Frequency
This frequency enables the creation of harmonious community- and interpersonal-relationships. This frequency can be used for dealing with relationship problems -- between family members, partners, friends, or problematic social relations. When talking about cellular processes, 639 Hz can be used to encourage the cells to communicate with their environment. This ancient Solfeggio frequency enhances communication, understanding, tolerance, and love.  This frequency can also be used for communication with parallel worlds and spiritual spheres.

Binaural beats
Binaural beats or tones are auditory processing artifacts, or "apparent sounds," caused by the simultaneous playing of two (bi) different tones (aural or auditory stimuli), one in each ear. The brain sums and splits them to make another tone not within the range of normal human hearing.

This effect earned greater public awareness in the late 20th century based on claims coming from the alternative-medicine community that binaural beats could help induce relaxation, profound states of meditation, creativity, and other desirable mental states. Their effect on brainwaves depends on the difference in frequencies of tone in each ear.
  • (This particular video uses frequencies within the delta and theta range which induce deep meditation, relaxation, nREM sleep, deep dreamless sleep, and loss of bodily awareness).
The brain produces a phenomenon resulting in low-frequency pulsations in the amplitude and sound localization of a perceived sound when two tones at slightly different frequencies are presented separately, one to each ear, using stereo headphones. A beating tone is perceived by the brain, as if the two tones mixed naturally to become something different than either sound.

Binaural beats reportedly influence the brain in more subtle ways through the entrainment of brainwaves thaat provide other health benefits such as control over pain perception or reactivity.

Oh, that stupid royal wedding! Congrats, Meg

I. Rony, editors, Wisdom Quarterly; Natalie Ktena (BBC.co.uk, May 18, 2018)
"Put your Harry in to make your Markle sparkle" - Crown Jewels brand condoms.
.
Royal wedding merch: Harry and Meghan condoms, anyone?
Some people will love the sex products -- for others they'll be the definition of "wrong" (so wrong)
My redheaded boy is finally growing up.
Royal weddings often bring out the more eccentric side of the British character. This can manifest in many ways, including:

(a) Developing a sudden desire to have a street bash with neighbours you've never spoken to before (other than to say "Ello, luv" when you find yourself putting the rubbish bins out on the curb at the same time)

(b) Watching two strangers tie the knot on the tele and having me mates over to "celebrate" by watching British reruns:

The Benny Hill Show
WARNING: Sexy depictions of traditional gender roles once popular on U.S. television!

(c) Thinking it's probably OK to drink ale for breakfast as long as it's out of a commemorative mug.

Meghan, we can call him West
While Will's and Kate’s wedding back in 2011 spawned a personalised pizza pie and some souvenir batts (AA), Harry and Meghan Markle memorabilia is scaling new heights of silliness.

In fact, this time around, it seems there’s more weird and wonderful wedding paraphernalia than ever before.

It does of course include the much-derided, unwittingly risqué Harry and Meghan one-piece bikinis [and "Crown Jewels" bran condoms].

The mystery of Buddha's missing head

Zhang Zixuan (China Daily, May 11, 2012)
The Akshobhya Buddha's head, on the eastern wall of the Four Gates Pagoda's center pillar, was stolen on the night of March 7, 1997.

"It was the most exquisite and beautiful head among the four," says Liu Jiwen, director of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Center of the Four Gates Pagoda.

In 1999, the case was cracked, but the Buddha head was still missing. The head eventually appeared at an overseas auction and was bought by disciples of Taiwan's Buddhist master Sheng Yin (1930-2009).

It was given to the Buddhist NGO Dharma Drum Mountain Foundation, which was founded by the master, and exhibited at the foundation's Museum of Buddhist History and Culture in Taipei.

In July 2002, Liu and archaeologist Liu Fengjun went to Taiwan and identified the origin of the head. On Dec 17, 2002, Master Sheng Yin escorted the head in person to give it back to the Four Gates Pagoda.

"The head is back, but there are still mysteries about these Buddha statues," says Wang Feng, deputy director of the center...."It may damage the statues. Also, the pagoda was intended to keep the Buddhist relics, not the statues," Liu continues.

"But, on the other hand, to move such big stone statues into the pagoda was quite a challenge. We still cannot figure out how it was done." More

Denial for Bliss?

(themotherhood.com)

"Denial Can Bring Marital Bliss"
Meredith F. Small (LiveScience.com)

With the divorce rate hovering around 50 percent, and so many people married more than once, it sometimes feels like humans are terrible at figuring out long-term love.

The typical pattern starts with falling head-over-heels for someone, with all its heat-thumping, starry-eyed craziness, and it takes a while before that fog dissipates and the real object of desire comes into focus. Often, the truth doesn’t hit until after marriage when the real person, warts and all, wakes up next to you in bed wearing a wedding ring.

Reality check, with its evil twin disillusionment, are sure ways to kill off a marriage. In a study to be published in July in the journal Psychological Science, Northwestern University psychologist Daniel Molden and colleagues were interested in the possible differences between the way dating and married couples see each other. They asked 92 dating couples and 77 married couples to complete questionnaires about satisfaction with their relationship, and not surprising, marriage changes things.

Everyone, married or dating, thinks the best partner is one who acts as a cheering section and brings out our best. But that sort of relationship only translates into a truly happy marriage when the partner seems to accept real commitment and helps in the day-to-day obligations... More>>
