Enlist and be drugged. It's no joke. Read the fine print of the military service contract. The "stop loss" clause is also of interest. Perhaps recalling that the job itself is to kill (contrary to the most fundamental Buddhist ethical precept) is enough to see a recruiting office and run the other way. State sanctioned murder, even in retaliation or self-preservation when invading another country, does not negate the woeful karmic consequences of killing.
