In Buddhism, meditation serves to calm and control the mind. It is essential to break the cycle of suffering, attain enlightenment, and reach nirvana. Follow these steps for mindfulness of breathing meditation, one of the two simplest meditations. This meditation is the practice Siddhartha was undertaking under the Bodhi tree when he achieved full enlightenment.
