LOS ANGELES, California (WQ) – LAPD Police Chief William Bratton is finally leaving after a controversial tenure, fraught with accusations of racism and brutality, particularly as chief of the MacArthur Park rally massacre. The scandalized Police Department was surprised by his sudden decision today since he recently got lifted a major consent decree aimed at bringing an out of control police force into line. The announcement came in a phone call and hastily put together press conference alongside the mayor.
