Korean-American "Minari" film wins big


Minari
 
is a winning all-American film. Only it's in the "wrong" language for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA), which is criticized even by its own hosts (Tina Fey and Amy Poehler) for racial insensitivity.
 
HFPA votes on which films win Golden Globe Awards every year. Filmed by Americans in America but mostly in Korean, the HFPA chose not to nominate Minari for the categories it deserved, according to observers, particularly Asian American ones. Host A Martinez talked to one today on Take Two (SCPR):
