Poetry: Zen Haiku with Alan Watts (audio)

Ananda (Dharma Buddhist Meditation), Dhr. Seven, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Should we meditate then write poems or compose a few haikus then sit a little zazen?

Zen haiku poems read by Alan Watts
(True Inspiration) Self-described "spiritual entertainer" Alan Watts (alanwatts.org, alanwatts.com) -- a British prodigy, philosopher, writer, speaker -- is best known as the premier interpreter and popularizer of Eastern philosophy in the West.

He was born in Chislehurst, England and moved to the United States in 1938, where he began Zen training in New York. Pursuing a career in religious studies, he attended Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, where he received a Master's degree and became an Episcopal priest in 1945.

He then left the ministry in 1950 and moved to California, where he joined the faculty of the American Academy of Asian Studies -- becoming a sort of Beat poet then hippie then a parent of the New Age with his long running radio show on Pacifica Free Speech Radio in Berkeley.
