Exclusive look inside "Lost Golden City" discovered in Egypt
(CNBC Television, April 9, 2021) NBC's exclusive footage shows the lost Golden City of Luxor, Egypt, discovered by archeologists. NBC's Molly Hunter joins "The News with Shepard Smith" to report (the accompanying video of which has been taken down from YouTube by CNBC).
COMMENTARY: Sadly, Zahi Hawass -- the discredited "Indiana Jones" of Egyptian antiquities -- is involved, assuring that we are not hearing the full truth or extent of the find. Past reports of titillating finds, vast treasures and whole cities discovered, only went on to never fully surface, particularly if they indicated that the present Egyptian race was not involved in their construction. Egyptian Muslims today do not seem to be the descendants of the pharaohs and their progeny, but they would like the credit due to nationalism and pride about how great the land once was. Hawass' bias is legendary.
