[The oldest documented tree in the world is the offspring of the Bodhi Tree (which survived in Sri Lanka and came back to Enlightenment Grove in India) Siddhartha sat under to become the Buddha.] This tree can be accessed via a one-mile round trip trail that is incredibly popular in the park and that leads to the tree and other trails with giant sequoia redwoods. Next, onto Kings Canyon.
