Mindfulness of Breathing Meditation: From First Sit to First Jhana
This talk on mindfulness of in-and-out breathing or anapanasati, as practiced in the enlightening Pa Auk Sayadaw tradition is translated in modern American English we might more easily understand.
It comes from two students who themselves reached these stages by practicing under and adhering to Pa Auk Sayadaw's knowledge wisdom.
Snyder and Rasmussen, authors of Practicing the Jhanas: Traditional Concentration Meditation as Presented by the Venerable Pa Auk Sayadaw, were partners and lay practitioners.
These two Americans conceived of this explanation and entitled it "From First Sitting to First Jhana."
