CIA against lawsuit approved by judge (TJDS)

Judge approves lawsuit against CIA and Pompeo over Assange illegal surveillance

(The Jimmy Dore Show) Dec. 29, 2023: #TheJimmyDoreShow Richard Roth is the lead attorney suing the CIA and former CIA head Mike Pompeo for spying on journalists and lawyers for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange while he was living in the Ecuadorean Embassy in London.

A judge recently ruled that the lawsuit can go forward, rejecting the CIA’s contention that illegally copying data from visitors’ electronic devices was perfectly aboveboard and not secretive spying in violation of their right to privacy.

Watch Jimmy Dore’s interview with Roth about the case and the outrageous CIA overreach in the Assange case.

The New York Post, 1/20/23; Ashley Wells, CC Liu, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Stop bothering these important businessmen.
Scores of sex workers have swarmed to the Swiss ski resort town of Davos to [score, that is, to] offer their services to the rich and powerful this week — with some said to be charging up to $2,500 a night.

Every year, the World Economic Forum hosts a five-day gathering featuring CEOs, dignitaries, captains of industry, and media figures to discuss important global issues.

Super sex worker (The New York Post)
One prostitute who goes by the name “Liana” told the German newspaper Bild that she frequently provides services to an American attendee at Davos who pays $750 per hour — or $2,500 to spend the whole night.

She added that she dresses in business attire in order to blend in with the crowd at the World Economic Forum gathering.

A woman who manages an escort service based in the Swiss town of Aargau, which is located some 100 miles from Davos, told 20 Minuten that she received 11 bookings and 25 inquiries — and that was just the beginning.

US out to destroy Wikileaks' Julian Assange

Mediaite Staff; NBC News; April 11, 2019; Wisdom Quarterly

(NBC News) "A Dark Day For Journalism": Wikileaks Editor-in-Chief on Julian Assange arrest.

(AFP) Edward Snowden has something to say about illegal arrest.
(Mediaite.com) Bearded Julian Assange dragged out of Ecuadorian Embassy by police: Wikileaks co-founder Julian Assange was dragged out of the Ecuadorian embassy in London and arrested by police, seven years after he first took refuge to avoid extradition to Sweden over an alleged sexual assault. In the dramatic scene caught on video, Assange appears bearded and disheveled as he’s dragged down the steps of the embassy and into a waiting police van. According to U.K. police, Assange was arrested for failing to surrender to the court. Scotland Yard also confirmed that Assange was arrested on behalf of an extradition request from the United States. The opportunity to take Assange into custody came after Ecuador’s President Lenin Moreno said the country withdrew Assange’s asylum for repeatedly violating its terms. Wikileaks protested the decision on Twitter, declaring it a “violation of international law.” Watch via RT. More + VIDEO

Int'l protesters hit the streets for Suu Kyi

Aung San Suu Kyi seen here during the 2007 Saffron Revolution. The daughter of a famous freedom fighter and widely supported Nobel laureate, she is beloved in her home country, Burma. She won democratic elections only to see them invalidated and herself arrested by the military junta. She married Dr. Michael Aris, a scholar of Tibetan culture, living abroad in Bhutan. The following year she gave birth to their first son, Alexander Aris, in London; their second son, Kim, was born in 1977. In 1988 Suu Kyi returned to Burma at first to tend for her ailing mother but later to lead the pro-democracy movement. Michael’s visit in Christmas 1995 turned out to be the last time Suu Kyi and Michael met, as Suu Kyi remained in Burma, and the Burmese dictatorship denied him any further entry visas. More>>
