WARNING: This is neither the path the Buddha took nor the one he recommended. It does not lead to awakening or Buddhist enlightenment (bodhi and nirvana and the end of all further rebirth and suffering) but rather only to Vedic/Hindu samadhi (a wonderful experience often mistaken for final liberation or Buddhist moksha but far from it). This is also not Guru Nanak and Sikhism's dharma as taught in the West under the brand name Kundalini Yoga, a hazardous mishmash of Ashtanga Yoga limbs, fraudulent Yogi Bhajan inventions tailored to impress Westerners, and cultish nonsense not representative of the Sikh or Hindu religions. See the sex and money scandals of Yogi Bhajan and Guru Jagat as cautionary tales. This discussion of the Eightfold Path of Raja or Ashtanga Yoga within Hinduism, extending to esoteric Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist practices, as these schools are very influenced by Brahmanism and Vedic Hinduism.
The "dark" and "divine" side of kundalini yoga
(Asangoham) The term yoga has its roots in the Sanskrit word yuj, which means "to yoke together, to
conjoin."
Hence, yoga implies a spiritual union of the individual consciousness with the all-pervading,
universal consciousness, or Brahman (Ultimate Reality behind all maya or "illusion"), according to the Upanishads.
In this way,
yoga is the empirical part of religion, says Gopi Krishna in his work, Kundalini: The Secret of
Yoga (3).
Of all the different yoga traditions and schools that developed in ancient Vedic times,
Kundalini Yoga [the Hindu not Sikh version] is considered to be the most powerful and therefore the most dangerous.
It is
part of the Shaiva Tantra system.
Kundalini is considered to be a form of sacred feminine
energy that lies dormant at the base of the human spine, called the muladhara, coiled like a serpent.
This is pure, formless energy which has immense potential if awakened. Shaiva Tantra calls
this "energy" or shakti, Mother Divine, or the formless aspect of the Goddess.
Swami Satyananda Saraswathi, a great master of kundalini yoga and author of
Kundalini Tantra says that although one may be generally aware of what yoga is, one requires some kind of awareness of what tantra is in order to appreciate the mysterious working of
kundalini yoga.
Tantra says that the range of mental experience can be broadened. With the help of the
senses, our mind can have an experience based on an object. There can be an experience
within the framework of time, space, and object. But there can also be an experience beyond
the framework of time, space, and object.
The second form of experience can happen when
the present mind expands beyond its given definitions and borders. When this experience
occurs, energy is released from oneself (Saraswati 6).
This concept is the tantric basis of kundalini yoga.
The dormant kundalini energy, when awakened, will rise in a spiraling motion up
through different energy nexus points in the body called chakras.
The literal meaning of chakra is
"circle" or "wheel," but in the context of kundalini tantra, it also connotes a vortex-like motion.
There are
many chakras in a human body, but the principal ones within the body are seven. And the highest
one, the seventh, is at the crown of the head.
The mind of a worldly person with base desires and passions moves in the muladhara
and svadhishthanachakras or energy centers situated near the anus and the reproductive organs respectively.
If one’s mind becomes purified, the mind rises to the manipura chakra, or the center
in the navel, and experiences some power and joy.
If the mind becomes more purified, it rises to the anahata chakra, or the center in the
heart, experiences bliss, and visualizes the effulgent form of the ishta devata or the "tutelary
deity."
When the mind is highly purified, when meditation and devotion become intense
and profound, the mind rises to visuddha chakra, or the center in the throat, and experiences
more and more powers and bliss.
Even when the mind has reached this center, there is a
possibility for it to come down to the lower centers.

DMT, Pineal Gland, and the Piezoelectric Effect
I can see colors and feel bliss.
Dr. Joe Dispenza provides a detailed explanation on how to contract the muscles of the body together with breathing in order to accelerate the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, apply gentle pressure to the pineal gland ("third eye" or Buddhist dibba cakkhu) at the center of the brain, and create very profound metabolites including benzodiazepine and DMT (the "spirit molecule," di-methyl-tryptamine). Spinal traction or decompression is stretching out the back. It can be done by inverting. It helps posture, meditation, and sleep. This kind of stretching has made a noticeable improvement. The idea came from @TimFerriss's #fourhourbody. Why it works: It improves blood and lymph circulation. The circle above shows the lymph nodes on the vertebral column. Andrew Still said circa 1874, "[the importance of chiropracty/osteopathy is] found in the spinal column with all of its intricate bony framework, plus the beautiful circulation of blood and lymph through the nerve centers of the spinal cord and throughout the whole body.” Hang from a bar or, safer yet, use an inversion table. Hang completely upside down then lower yourself gradually while keeping the core engaged. Spinal traction is meant to be a "gentle" decompression process.More
A retired doctor has become a popular figure in India after answering hundreds of questions a week about sex.
Dr. Mahinder Watsa, 90, gives males and females of all ages the chance to get answers to personal questions with his column in a popular Indian tabloid newspaper.
He practiced for many years as a gynaecologist and trained as a sex therapist in the United States. He first became an advice columnist for an Indian women’s magazine and then in 2005 began writing for Bombay's Mumbai Mirror.Since then he’s answered tens of thousands of questions.
He doesn't need to know, and he'll still be happy
"People ask me, 'Are you making up the questions?' because some of them are really weird," says Dr. Watsa. "And I said, 'No, I don't. What comes in, I answer" [which is mostly about masturbation, rumors, naive ponderings, embarrassment, and unknown consequences].
The things people ask about range from questions around the practicalities of sex to issues around sexuality as well as relationships and physical looks.
It has caused some controversy in a country that still struggles with prudish attitudes towards sex, but Dr. Watsa’s no-nonsense approach and sense of humor have garnered him quite a following among readers of the paper and online.
"The column I think is popular because there are very few people who really attend to this area of their physiology or of their bodies," he adds.
He often finds himself dealing with myths and old wives tales about sex as well as questions relating specifically to the Indian way of life around things like arranged marriages [and the need for virginity or the appearance of it].
Dr. Watsa says people are becoming more open about sex, but the dissemination of information in India can be a barrier.
"Unfortunately, sex became a very political subject about four or five years ago, and suddenly there was a lot of hubbub about it, as a result of which sex education was banned in the schools, almost in all states in the country," says Dr. Watsa.
At one time most of the questions that came in were from men, but more and more women are now writing to him.
"They talk about their breasts being small or big, or one recently thought her buttocks were very large," he says.
Many women get worried that their husband looking at porn means they’re not interested in sex with them.
Prefer the "good ol' days" of colonialism?
"The women are becoming more open and asking how to deal with these problems," he adds. India’s own "Dr. Ruth" answers questions that come in daily. And even though he’s just turned 90 he shows no sign of retiring.
"I tell people my head and feet are working and all the other parts are in order, so I suppose I will go on," he says. MoreMore from The World with Marco Werman
We never got the chance to say "Bye-bye, Breitbart." He was apparently assassinated for threatening to out President B.S. Obama about something.
Death is one way to effectively silence someone, so we do not know what the outing was about. (The nonsense that it was B.S. meeting and hugging a radical figure is pure cover story deception).
Breitbart may have been a very misguided rightwing conservative blogger -- doctoring videos to make Acorn look foolish or reactionaries look sane -- but he did do a few good things. He encouraged Arianna Huffington to create a media outlet that eventually became the Huffington Post (before it sold out to the mainstream media with its AOL deal). He shed light on the fake centrists that call themselves the "left."
If Barry Soetoro Obama or Barbara Boxer is The Left then we're Mongolian aborigines on small horses racing through the grassy wastelands in search of anyone related to Kublai Khan. (The ancestors of Genghis Khan say we're on the wrong continent for that). Are we right, left, or center? Left. Why? Because we need change from the root (radix) not the branches beyond.
Worse than losing King B.B. is yesterday's loss of BB King's best virtual friend, the creator of Marshall brand electric guitar amplifiers, who built the stacks behind the Hair Farmers of our guitar hero dreams.
Thankfully the corporation will keep building and selling the deafening machines in his absence. So rock 'n roll will live on. And Daisy's guitar camp for girls will live on. And that means one day music will conquer the world.
WQ with Nico PetromacChakra Dhyana: concentration on the energy centers of the subtle body (2:32)
The chakras (literally, "wheels") are the nexus points of nerve fibers in the body. There importance is astral, as part of the subtle or spiritual body not normally seen by the eyes. They are visible to the Divine Eye (DibbaCakkhu). They are each associated with a particular vibration -- manifesting as a color (light vibration) and a "seed sound" (bija mantra, or sound vibration). Click on each wheel to hear the latter vibrations. In descending order the seven cerebrospinal points and their corresponding features are:
