Science: Staring at breasts healthy for men?

Vanguard, Oct. 22, 2019; FACT CHECK: Breast Gazing? (snopes.com); Eds.,  Wisdom Quarterly

MEDICAL NEWS: Staring at breasts makes men live longer, healthier — scientific study
My eyes are up here. - I know. I'm working out.
A study done by German scientist Dr. Karen Weatherby, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, has revealed that lustily gazing with admiration at women’s breasts is healthy and lengthens the lifespan of men.

The study, which was carried out over a period of five years, involved 500 men, half of whom were instructed to stare at women’s breasts in a lustful manner for no less than 10 minutes every day.

I've always been interested in life extension.
The other half were instructed to abstain from doing such.

It concluded that men who stared at breasts, more often, showed lower rates of heart problems, slower resting heart rate, and lower blood pressure, all of which enable a healthy living and long life.

The study said men should stare at breasts for 10 minutes a day to improve the wellness of their hearts and live longer.

Doctor's orders! - That's just men, Dear.
“Just 10 minutes of staring at the charms of a well-endowed female every day is roughly equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out,” the study revealed.

When the two groups of men were tested, men that stared at breasts daily had lower blood pressure, slower resting pulse rates, as well as fewer instances of coronary artery disease.

Glad to see me? Yes, almost put an eye out.
Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. Gazing at breasts makes men healthier and engaging in this activity a few minutes daily cuts the risk of stroke and heart attack by half.

“We believe that by doing so consistently, the average man can extend his life for four to five years,’’ it added. Source

Breasts, Topless Tourism, Jen Love Hewitt

Eds, Wisdom Quarterly
Jen's "Ghost Whisperer" is based on James Van Praagh's life. But mainly she gives people a serious case of Bebe Stevens Syndrome.

Bigger Breasts equals More Tourists

Giant breasts are becoming the norm in Wellington, New Zealand. The breasts in New Zealand are growing dramatically. Throughout the country the sale of size D thru J have increased 53 per cent. Also embracing the bust increase is the struggling travel industry, which is seeing equivalent lift in their business. More

Wisdom Quarterly continue to reveal the popularity of our favorite agnostic ghost whisperer and yoga enthusiast., Ms. Love Hewitt. Nearly a million and a half views later, she is gaining popularity on what 2012 has in store for the planet. Jen leans toward Buddhism with selfless acts of loving-kindness. We may be under-counting, but official is official.

Buddhists Obsessing On Breasts?
Wisdom Quarterly
The problem has gotten so pointed, even new Buddha statues are affected (Woottamee)

Whether trying to meditate, do yoga, watch TV, or shop for groceries, distractions are everywhere. The Buddha once pointed out that the shape of a woman is a man's greatest obsession, and the shape of a man is a woman's. Why are we obsessed?

It seems to be a deep seated compulsion that goes beyond our cultural conditioning all the way down to the brainstem, the reptilian brain, and the limbic system.

But it is made far worse by the multibillion-dollar breast industry. That's not enhancement, bras, and bathing suits -- it's everything: music, TV shows, ads, sales persons, singers...nothing is free of it. It in no way stops there. And the obsession is not limited to leering men.

Men gawk, while women are more subtle. But it is women who disproportionately suffer from body dysmorphic disorder and an inferiority complexes trying to keep up with airbrushed images. The images are modeled on the figures of pubescent, meat-hormone fed American teens, push-up bra wearers, and post surgery party goers.

Male mammals have mammary glands, too, and they're real breasts.

Mindfulness cures obsession. Contemplation on the repulsive aspects of the body (in 32 parts), because the Buddha did not simply say that we are obsessed. He offered solutions. The body is beautiful. But in it there is a danger. Moreover, there is an escape from the danger.

We are sunk if we simply go through life dragged about by our impulses, being manipulated by the media, and being taken advantage of by those who profit from our wandering eyes and minds.

Envy or lust, what are women looking at?

All mammals, both male and female, have them by definition. Our attention is directed and manufactured by design. What is driving us? If we assume it is "nature," there's nothing to nurture and nothing we can do about it.

If we understand that there is an industry (selling sex, self-esteem, magazines, fashion, femininity, cancer, movies, unrelated product sales, etc.), we can begin to see through it and free ourselves.

Why women flash breasts at Mardi Gras

Larissa Rzemienski (YourTango, 2/20/17); Ananda, Jen B., Dhr. Seven (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
.
The truth about why women show their boobs at Mardi Gras
Throw beads, or don't look!
What comes to mind when thinking of Mardi Gras ("Fat Tuesday")? For some, it’s the traditional fare -- extravagant parade floats, exquisite masks, shiny beads. For most, it's women flashing their boobs, wild parties, and the craziness that is Bourbon Street.

Mardi Gras is a historical celebration that dates back thousands of years and was intended to be a Holy Week hedonistic celebration living it up on the day before 40 days of Lent (abstaining, sacrificing, giving up, letting go, and breaking bad habits).

Come, all ye sinners. Feel shame! Offend not the Lord. Pyre ashes, get your pyre ashes.
The male of the species, living in big cities, has no shame. Monkey see, money do (Seinfeld).
.
It's a time to fatten up before the now largely symbolic fasting. But the hedonism portrayed by the media is completely separate from the real purpose of the celebration.

Breast flashing is not considered to be a “real” tradition of Mardi Gras, except for mammals with cameras, but rather a phenomenon that surrounds the spring break mentality of the young people that hang out on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

.
The festive parades throughout New Orleans and the South remain a more sacred old school religious celebration frequented by locals, while the wild celebrations occur only on Bourbon Street with thousands of tourists.

Why?
"Why?" is an interesting question. Have you considered the opposite question: "Why not?"?
.
So why exchange beads for exposing body parts intended only for infants? Why DO women flash their breasts at Mardi Gras?

The act of bearing one’s breasts at Mardi Gras dates back to the 1970s, but it drastically increased from 1987 to 1991. Many women attribute the flashing of their breasts to the mass consumption of alcohol [and other intoxicants].

They also report pleasure from violating the expected norms of society as a whole. One study found that 68 percent of men and 63 percent of women had at least 5 or 6 drinks per sitting while at Mardi Gras festivities.

About one-quarter of the men reported having at least 16 drinks per sitting. Whoa.

Casual sex
I'm cutting loose because it's Spring Break!!
The study also reported that 42 percent of men expect to have sex with somebody they meet at Mardi Gras. A third (33%) of all attendees surveyed did, in fact, have sex with someone that they had met at the festivities, and about 50% said at least a few of their friends did, too.

Perhaps we could compare the wild times at Mardi Gras to the activities that take place in Las Vegas. Clearly, there are some similarities between the two.

What happens on Bourbon St. does not necessarily stay on Bourbon St.
Max, we found them, we found them!
In actuality, the craziness is often photographed and videotaped. This can come back to haunt people. It’s widely known that media outlets reserve Bourbon Street balconies at least five years in advance to get the best shots.

One female flasher found out that video footage of her flashing her breasts showed up on a capitalist Girls Gone Wild video. No one asked her to sign a release.

She filed a court case after discovering that her images were on the cover of the DVD and X-rated footage of her within the video.

I love kids, not women's breasts.
Breast flashing and wild behaviors could also be attributed to the concept of mob mentality. With so little inhibition and such large crowds, a single person -- egged on by friends, bead throwers, and alcohol -- could feel her behavior is normal, that she won't necessarily be picked out of a crowd.

One can feel anonymous among a large half-naked crowd of strangers and, thus, be more prone to show the goods.

Some fall into the tourist trap
Another interesting fact is that many of the revelers are out of towners. Many of the partygoers tell interviewers that they are attending Mardi Gras to “escape” their daily lives.

They have the daily stresses of work or school and feel like they need to let off some steam by going to Mardi Gras and completely letting go of their inhibitions. It's a dopamine boost. More

Breasts: Jennifer Love Hewitt's yoga bikini

Wisdom Quarterly surpasses 1 million views today!
Posted on occasion of reaching first million views, which has now climbed to nearly 10 million

Internal website audits throughout 2010 revealed a perplexing statistic: Yoga Saves Jennifer Love Hewitt was turning up with the most pageviews on the Wisdom Quarterly. Why?

Today's millionth-view landmark is likely to make her a sensation until at least 2012.

Of course, the problem is our hit counters are hopelessly off. We have tried no fewer than seven of them. And they have all always logged a different number of daily hits. Then the most dependable one (freelogs.com) crashed in November just as we were officially approaching 1,000,000 hits.

We almost certainly unofficially surpassed this hallmark long ago. Blogger.com tells us we receive an average of 3,000+ daily views with 83,235 in January alone. RevolverMaps undercounts, and ClustrMaps is worse, but they tell us where our worldwide audience is.

By mid-2010, Love Hewitt was getting the most pageviews, but now stories on 2012 overshadow our favorite agnostic yogini. And this even as she seems to lean towards Buddhism with selfless acts of loving-kindness. How are we to treat this perplexing pageview anomaly?

It might be due to its fortuitous placement next to other popular stories or the popularity of yoga. Whatever the case, it is a statistical fact: Wisdom Quarterly readers want to see more stories about Jennifer Love Hewitt.

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane offers the easiest explanation: It probably comes down to our media-fueled obsession with being reminded we're mammals, a name we take from our mammalian glands. And if we ain't nothing but mammals, we should probably be watching a lot more Discovery Channel or MacFarlane cartoons:

Jen pleads with the ghosts to explain why they always come to her. One ghost stumbles then proclaims that it's just because they, uh, trust her. (English version banned)

(Huffington Post) Apparently relaxing and enjoying life was one of Jennifer Love Hewitt's resolutions for 2011, as the starlet took in the new year with a relaxing Hawaiian vacation with her boyfriend, Alex Beh, and family. Hewitt was snapped this weekend lounging and floating around in a blue bikini.

The problem has gotten so pointed, even new Buddha statues are affected (Woottamee)

Whether trying to meditate, do yoga, watch TV, or shop for groceries, distractions are everywhere. The Buddha once pointed out that the shape of a woman is men's greatest obsession, and vice versa for women. Why are we obsessed?

It seems to be a deep seated compulsion that goes beyond our cultural conditioning all the way down to the brainstem or reptilian brain and the limbic system.

But it is made far worse by the multibillion-dollar breast industry. They are used to sell consumer goods. There are undergarments and bathing suits to be sold, even sex and movies. But it in no way stops there. And the obsession is not limited to pandering to men.

Women are as much if not more affected by it. They are given body dysmorphic disorder and an inferiority complex trying to keep up with airbrushed images. But these images are modelled on the figures of pubescent animal hormone fed American teens, push-up bra wearers and those who have undergone surgical procedures.

Male mammals have mammaries, too, which can look just like female breasts.

Actresses like Jennifer Love Hewitt (and Julia Roberts/Erin Brockovich, Scarlett Johansson, Dolly Parton, and others) are not helping matters. We pretend not to notice cleavage. Advertisers pretend not to accentuate the mammalian trigger in our brains. But the industry is growing, and our obsession is becoming more powerful. And no one dares to talk about it.

Mindfulness helps, as does meditation on the repulsive aspects of corporeality (32 body parts contemplation), because the Buddha did not simply say that we are obsessed. He offered solutions. The body is beautiful. But in it there is a danger. And there is an escape from the danger.

We are sunk if we simply go about life following our impulses and being manipulated by the media and those whose central aim is to profit from our obsessive and wandering eyes.

Envy, jealousy, cattiness, lust? Just what are women looking at?

In nature, breasts are incidental. All mammals, male and female, by definition, have them. Our riveted attention is manufactured and by design. We have to take responsibility, but it helps to understand what is driving us. If we were to assume that it is nature, we are trapped. (What can we do about nature?)

But if we understand that it's an industry (involving sex, self-esteem, fashion, psychology, cancer treatment, magazine covers, body image, unrelated product sales, femininity, and so on), we can begin to see through it and free ourselves.

Jen has a show based on real life "Ghost Whisperer" James Van Praagh. But mainly she gives people a serious case of Bebe Stevens Syndrome.

Breasts: Euro implants; banning small breasts

Amber Dorrian, Wisdom Quarterly

British women sue over French breast implants
Breast implants produced in France by PIP (Poly Implant Prothese) spell trouble and possible cancer for victims of plastic surgery disasters. Up to 30,000 French women and perhaps tens of thousands more around the world may need to have their defective breast implants removed after several suspicious cancer cases, officials said on Dec. 20, 2011.

Banning small breasts in Australia
Australia's government is "banning" adult publications and films featuring women with "small breasts," says Aussie activist Fiona Patten, on the grounds that such images encourage pedophilia. Patton, leader of the anti-censorship Australian Sex Party, is taking issue with a 2005 ruling which specified that even depictions of women who are over 18 but "appear to be" underage may be judged "illegal." Is this alleged practice a strategic way to fight child pornography, or -- as Patten maintains -- an absurd reaction to a perfectly normal female body type?

Apple iPhones are spying on bras and breasts!

Kelly Ani, Ashley Wells, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly; diyphotography.net
I knew that piece of s**t iPhone was spying on me! Damn Apple Inc. and US spying agencies!

I don't like this, don't like it at all!
Apple’s Photos [spying] app is capable of detecting almost 4,500 different scenes and objects [like breasts and nude photos] using image-recognition technology.

But recently, a user discovered that the app also knows what a bra looks like.

So it recognizes and tags all your photos in a bra, making them all viewable in one place. Since no AI is perfect, this one isn’t either.

Some users have reported that the app also placed their nude or sexual photos in the “bra” category.

The Twitter user @ellieeewbu discovered this on her iPhone and posted about it, which resulted in almost 15,000 retweets, nearly 29,000 likes, and over a thousand replies:

As you can see, the trick is to type in “brassiere,” and you’ll get to see all the photos in a bra. In the replies, you can see some users sharing their results, and it seems the image recognition tech is generally quite accurate. [It knows what a t*t is.] However, a few girls reported that the tag was also applied to their nude photos and photos of them having sex. It turns out this category has existed for over a year now. More.

Stealing breast pics from the cloud, iPads...

Lana Del Rey bra, no iPhone
Apple isn't saving bra photos for itself -- but your iPhone is looking at your boobs (thenextweb.com, Oct. 31, 2017 ...The world discovered yesterday that the iPhone, which sorts pictures to categories all by itself without being asked, has a folder specifically for brassiere pictures. It should say breasts because there are bikini shots, heavy cleavage, even nudes of YOU in it.

Apple has been categorizing all your "brassiere" photos for over a... (theverge.com) in the Photos app on iPhones categorizes photos featuring bras... Anyone can see them and your breasts because your photos are stored on the cloud, [which is easier to hack than your borrowed or stolen phone].

Apple catalogs bra photos on iOS 10 (dailycaller.com) Several iPhone owners are starting to notice that Apple has been spotting, segregating, and storing YOUR bra-related photos... guys wtf this is so scary[!]

I spy with my iPhone. So do you.
iPhone does NOT have a secret folder of your sexy selfies [oh, wait, yes it does, sort of] (express.co.uk) Some iPhone, iPad, and iOS users were left fearing there's a folder of all the pictures they've taken in their bra and lingerie [and sexting, and nudes, and Apple knows what else] stored on the cloud or their phone...
