(Buddhist Insights) There are ten obstacles to overcome on the way to awakening or enlightenment (bodhi). These are called the "fetters" (samyojana), grouped into three subsets. As each set is progressively abandoned, one attains to progressively higher stages of enlightenment. In this three-part series, Los Angeles monk Ven. Sumitta explains each of the ten fetters and how we can overcome them.
