Why "Thor" star hates Christian religions

Chris "Thor" Hemsworth on Chris Pratt: He's a good enough guy (gamerant.com)

Chris Pratt is the face of American Christianity
In an interview with Men's Health Magazine, Chris Pratt confirmed that while he does believe in God, he does not affiliate with and very much opposes man-made Christian religions, denying he ever attended the controversial [anti-LGBTQI+] Hillsong Church.

“Religion has been oppressive as f*ck for a long time,” Pratt said in the interview. Pratt added that he had no intention of being the face of all Christians when he first expressed his Christian beliefs to the public.

Showbiz Hollywood is worse than people think
“I didn’t know that I would kind of become the face of religion when, really, I’m not a religious person. I think there’s a distinction between being religious — adhering to the customs created by man, oftentimes appropriating the awe reserved for who I believe is a very real [tribal] God — and using it to
  • control people,
  • to take money from people,
  • to [sexually and psychologically] abuse children,
  • to steal land [Vatican's European imperialism],
  • to justify hatred [hypocritically in the name of good].
“Whatever it is. The evil that’s in the heart of every single [hu]man has glommed on to the back of religion and come along for the ride.”

Who's Chris Pratt?
Hollywood Secret Satanic Occult
A lot has gone right for Thor: Love and Thunder star Pratt over the past decade or so. From catching his first big break on Park and Recreation to starring in two popular movie franchises like Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World, he's gained a lot of fans as well as detractors who question his religious stance, particularly when it comes to anti-LGBTQ+ church he allegedly attended.

Because Chris Pratt has openly expressed his religious beliefs in the past, he's received plenty of backlash for doing so.

Now, as Thor: Love and Thunder nears its release date, Pratt himself finally decided to open up about his religious views and religion himself. More

Trump lunged at Secret Police? (video)

Daily Show with Noah Trevor; Late Night with Seth Meyers; Trump on The List via MSN.com; Jimmy Dore; Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells, Seth Auberon, Sheldon S. (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Trump’s Jan 6th fury revealed by Cassidy Hutchinson and Giuliani lies about getting “attacked”
(The Daily Show, June 28, 2022) Rudy Giuliani gets tapped on the back by a Staten Island ShopRite employee and compares it to being “shot,” and former Trump White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson gives a shocking testimony of Trump’s violent behavior in a surprise Jan. 6th hearing.

What the hell kind of lawyer are you, Rudy?
It's funny if Trump tried to fight his Secret Service guard detail to do what he wanted, not realizing that he is their prisoner and charge rather than their "boss" in any way. They have a job, and it has little to do with him. Just ask former Pres. Billy Clinton, who at long last figured out that the White House is either a public housing castle or the crown jewel of the federal prison system. He figured out it was the latter, that he himself was a puppet for the real powers who rule, and that the only thing to do was become even more corrupt by getting his heinous wife the job to see what a real lawyer-shark could do with the position. Trump thought he was pulling the wool over the eyes of the powers-that-be, but they forced him to take Pence, take advice on how to win, and they manipulated the votes in his favor...until they did, having chosen an even more wooden and cooperative zombie (easily possessed and already compromised victim) to do the job.

Even Fox News was stunned by Cassidy Hutchinson's devastating testimony

Whistleblower Cassidy Hutchinson
(Late Night with Seth Meyers, June 29, 2022) Seth Meyers takes a closer look at former White House official Cassidy Hutchinson's shocking testimony before the January 6 committee, revealing that Trump orchestrated a violent coup and wanted to lead an armed mob to the Capitol to overturn the election. Meanwhile, will lawyer Guiliani face charges for lying about being patted on the back assault charges (as shown in next video on The Daily Show)?

Sick R. Kelly vs. sicker Ghislane Maxwell

Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells, Sheldon S., Seth Auberon, Wisdom Quarterly COMMENTARY

Hey, I'm just playing by the rules of being rich.
It's a sick, sad world. So if you're going to commit sex crimes, be an attractive white female. It'll go better at sentencing. This is the message we're left with. OJ Simpson caused an outrage, but at the same time George Bush was killing 100,000 or so Iraqi soldiers, ordering them to be buried alive with bulldozers as they dug in to defend their country from a US invasion, after the US and CIA failed to rein in their creation and former Puppet most friendly to the West, Dictator Saddam Hussein.
It's great being rich. - And white! lol
Pres. Bush, Sr. had been CIA chief before his presidency, so it was no trouble ordering the ruin of the small oil-rich kingdom his agency helped Saddam Hussein build. But all the US media and consumers of such media wanted to talk about was a Black man who killed a blond and another guy. That's the crime of the century. No one can defend vulgar R. Kelly who brought this upon himself first in his actions and then in a terrible interview. But any objective measure shows that professional blackmailer Jeffrey Epstein of Pedophile Island accomplice Ghislane Maxwell did far more harm to far more people, particularly underage girls, yet she only got a 20-year sentence. Such is the injustice system in the US, and anyone who notices will be called insensitive to the crimes committed in the first place. What about PizzaGate, what about pedophile Bill Gates and other famous names not revealed in a public trial of Epstein?

Poor R Kelly. He should have bought from us.
Ghislane Maxwell is not on suicide watch because she is threatening to commit suicide. She is afraid for her life because a cellmate publicly declared that she was repeatedly offered money by officials in the jail to kill Maxwell. Get Ghislane, which the inmate planned to do for the money being offered her. She faces the great likelihood of being murdered just like Jeffrey Epstein then of having the death declared a suicide just as with Epstein.

Meat-free "Human Flesh Burgers"? Go vegan

Bob's BurgersNY Post; Ananda (DBM), Dhr. Seven, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Who taste tested the two to make the comparison, Anders Linden?

They have us eating worms and crickets and craving flesh.
“I am incredibly proud of this award and the great teamwork behind it. Our mission is to change how people eat, and it is our duty to use creativity as a tool to make this change happen,” said Henrik Åkerman, Swedish Oumph!'s global brand leader.

“As a small brand we need to be bold and ready to push some boundaries to breakthrough, and I think this campaign is a good example of us doing just that,” he said.

Tomás Ostiglia, executive creative director at creative agency LOLA MullenLowe, said a problem with selling plant-based products was people often said they don’t replicate the taste of [dead animal flesh] meat very well.

WARNING: Don't look! Car crash! Cannibal Corpse "Shredded Humans"

It tastes like a greasy dead bird.
“A claim most are tired of hearing and even more tired of being disappointed by,” he said. “And of course, a solution was to make a tasty plant-based human meat burger.

“The bravery of launching a risky idea that is 100% on-brand is always rewarded,” Ostiglia added.

Oumph! co-founder, corporate chef and head of innovation Anders Linden said developing a plant-based burger that tastes of human meat was “exciting, and a little bit scary.”

I wish I could go vegan. Is there a free kit?
“We developed this burger in no time as soon as we knew what taste and texture we were after,” Linden explained. [How did you know what taste? Are human snacks available somewhere in Sweden?]

“This is our ultimate and weird way of showing that it’s possible to create any type of food by using just plants.” VIDEO: Halloween vegan burger hyped for tasting like 'human meat' wins award (nypost.com)

Parasites from cannibalism and eating insects?
Ever think the powers that be are prepping us for something? Get used to eating worms, crickets, cockroach legs and dung (already an ingredient of hotdogs). Look up "offal" (pronounced \awful\).

In the future, in the time of Soylent Green, what's that secret ingredient? Everyone was starving. Many were dying. It seemed a waste to toss this protein packages in the funeral grounds for maggots to eat. So we filled them with toxic preservatives (embalming fluids), stuffed them in cling wrap and white Styrofoam platters, and sold them at the supermarket. People who devour pigs loved them, almost like bacon and fried tripe.

They already make insect-worm burgers (NPR).
It makes it sound worse that it's vegan, but vegetables are vegan. Anyone can add "natural" (a synthetic chemical mimicking a substance that occurs in nature which means there's nothing "natural" about it) and synthetic flavorants to anything. Why not marinate human flavors into boring shredded and crumbled beef for a real cannibal experience? Yum! There's nothing like eating our fellow mammals and calling it a good thing. Go vegan. At least go veg once a week. The body will thank you.

Yogi Gurudev on SEX (video)

Balance -- not strength, stamina, or flexibility -- is by far the toughest thing in yoga.

Why should we conserve our sexual energy? | Patanjali's Yoga Sutras
(Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, premiered March 26, 2022) Why did ancient yogis, wandering ascetics, monks, and intensive meditators give up sex and take on vows of celibacy and brahmacharya?

Is sex detrimental to spiritual growth? Are there any special powers that get unlocked by abstaining from sex? The no-fap (abstaining from masturbation) movement has become big in recent times even among non-spiritual people.

But if the urge for sex should come, what to do? Breathe (pranayama).

Humans (along with eating) have been having sex since always. So what is the basis for humans trying to move to a practice of semen or essence retention?

Is sex a problem, or is an obsession with it unhealthy? Does it make us weak, stressed, angry, frustrated, anxious, or sad whatever immediate pleasure it gives (which if it did not we would not do it)?

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, in this commentary on Patanjali's Yoga Sutras, shares some incredible knowledge on sexual energy (shakti) and how conserving it could unlock doors to limitless happiness and aid us in our path to enlightenment.

The Woman Who Married a Bear

The History and Meaning of the Iconic Grateful Dead Bears - Extra Chill

Tonight, we’ll explore The Woman Who Married a Bear [i.e., who had sexual relations with an ogre, yaksha, rakshasa, wild-bear-man or Yeti, Sasquatch, Bigfoot], an ancient tale told in cultures around the world, about a young woman who lives with her family near snow-capped mountains [the home of yetis and yeren "wildmen" in Chinese] at the edge of the known world [such as Nepal/Bhutan/Tibet].

Yeren: China's "Wildman" [Bear-Man]
(South China Morning Post, 8/25/18) Tales of the Shennongjia Forest yeren, or "wildman" [sometimes Bearman], have been spread widely in China over the last four decades. Records of it can be found in ancient poetry books, dating back thousands of years. This "Bigfoot" has been described as a hairy, ape-like creature, with facial features that resemble a human. This mysterious figure is covered from head to toe with long brownish hair and has been sighted over 400 times during the last four decades in Shennongjia Forest and surrounding areas. SCMP interviewed witnesses, explorers, experts, and even opponents trying to unveil the mystery of the legendary monster.

Sex with stinkin subhuman ogres?
Myths, dreams, and visions visit all of us on the edges of the known world. It is the edges where our instinctive, collective, animal "souls" [or archetypal memories] hold the grail of renewal.

We are not separate. The Archetype of the Animal-Human-Divine [tiracchana-manusya-deva] is often symbolized as world creator in creation mythologies.

This ever-present wisdom of our shapeshifting creative animal [base or instinctive] selves seeks integration and expression.

Carl Jung discovered that living on the edge of his known world brought Big Dreams and visions, which led in time to the discovery of his life’s work.

Let’s bring our bear dreams to share and hold sacred. What heals and guides the individual self or soul can also heal and guide our world. Dream, Myth, and the World of Inter-being, Thursday, June 30, 2022, 7:00 PM | Meetup

Wisdom of Trauma: Dr. Gabor Mate (film)

There's wisdom in trauma? I should tell my b/f.
On July 1st at 7:00 PM there will be a community screening and discussion of the documentary The Wisdom of Trauma featuring Dr. Gabor Mate, MD (drgabormate.com).

Let's co-create community agreements, set intentions, and hold space for one another while we center ourselves on topics from the film.

ABOUT THE FILM
  • One in five Americans are diagnosed with mental illness in any given year.
  • Suicide is the second most common cause of death in the US for youth aged 15–24.
  • Depression kills over a million people a year globally with 50,000 in the US.
  • Drug overdoses kill 70,000 in the US.
  • Autoimmunity epidemic affects 25-50 million people US.
  • What's going on?
The interconnected epidemics of anxiety, chronic illness, and substance abuse are, according to Dr. Maté, "normal" but not in the way most of us might think.

“So much of what we call abnormality in this culture is actually [a set of] normal responses to an abnormal culture. The abnormality does not reside in the pathology of individuals but in the very culture that drives people into suffering and dysfunction.” — Dr. Gabor Maté

This is a journey alongside a doctor who has dedicated his life to understanding the connection between illness, addiction, trauma, and society.

Schedule:
  • 7:00 pm Introductions
  • 7:15 pm Film begins

Dr. Wallach's "Forbidden Cures" (minerals)

Rare Earths: Forbidden Cures
Dr. Joel D. Wallach has 40 years of biochemical research and clinical medicine. He has several degrees B.S., D.V.M., and N.D.

He has authored 70 peer-reviewed articles plus several books. Dr. Ma Lan has an M.D. and M.S. in Western medicine and has also trained in Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, herbs, manipulation, massage, and hydrotherapy. Rare Earths: Forbidden Cures is Dr. Wallach's in-depth research on vital minerals and their relation to ["genetic"] diseases and human longevity.

Nearly every condition we know -- homosexuality, transgender confusion, vitiligo, diabetes, muscular dystrophy, sudden infant death syndrome (crib death), cancer, balding, white hair, and more -- has a mineral and/or vitamin deficiency at its root. This is the astonishing claim of a doctor who regularly reverses these things with more than 5,000 supplement products. More

PTS: The Questions of King Milinda Book 2: The Distinguishing Characteristics of Ethical Qualities

Chapter 1 3.1.5 What is the aim of Buddhist renunciation?
PTS cs 5 Venerable Nāgasena went to the king and sat down on the prepared seat. The king provided Ven. Nāgasena and his following with food, both hard and soft, as much as they required, and presented each monk with a suit of robe garments and Ven. Nāgasena himself with a set of three robes.

Then he said to him: "Be pleased to keep your seat here and with you ten of your fellow monks. Let the rest depart." When he saw that Ven. Nāgasena had finished his meal, he took a lower seat respectfully beside him, and said:

"What shall we discuss?"

"We want to arrive at truth. Let our discussion be about the truth."

The king asked: "What is the object, revered sir, of your renunciation? What is the culmination at which you aim?"

"Why do you ask? Our renunciation is to the end that this sorrow (dukkha) may perish away and that no further sorrow may arise. The complete passing away [of suffering], without cleaving to the world, is our highest aim."

"How now, venerable sir! Is it for such high reasons that all members of it have joined the Monastic Order?"

PTS vp Pali 32 "Certainly not, sire. Some for those reasons, PTS vp En 50 but some have left the world in terror at the tyranny of kings. Some have joined us to be safe from being robbed, some harassed by debt, and some perhaps to gain a livelihood."

"But for what object, venerable sir, did you yourself join?"

"I was received into the Monastic Order when I was a mere boy. I knew not then the ultimate aim. But I thought: 'They are wise scholars, these Buddhist samanas [wandering ascetics]. They will be able to teach me.' And by them I have been taught. And now do I both know and understand what is at once the reason for and the advantage of renunciation."

"Well put, Nāgasena!"

Rinpoche: "Wandering...But Not Lost" (film)

Pasadena Janga; Ashley Wells, Ananda (Dharma Buddhist Meditation) (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

There is a documentary that tells the story of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s “Wandering Retreat” or carika.

His memoir In Love with the World: A Monk’s Journey Through the Bardos of Living and Dying tells the story of a socially awkward lama who had to get with it to support Tibetan Buddhism like his family expected of him.

The film is a kind of companion to the book. The film is beautifully shot as Rinpoche tells his own story.

Under cover of darkness with no word of his plans, Vajrayana Meditation Master Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche walked away from his life on the international stage to live as a wandering yogi.

There's a lot to cover before and after death
Unheard of among eminent teachers today, such a practice is rife with hardships.

For Rinpoche, these challenges — subsisting on donations trying to find food and shelter, surviving illness, and the attendant risks of wandering incognito from place to place with the barest of possessions — present fertile ground to deepen insight into the true nature of the mind, the heart, and life. It is the activity the historical Buddha prescribed to his male and female disciples.

Wandering... But Not Lost is an intimate account of Rinpoche’s four-and-a-half-year walking retreat (June 2011–November 2015) interspersed with his own guidance in applying Buddhist wisdom to our daily lives that attempts to touch and inspire modern audiences everywhere.
