(2/11/09) Authors Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould talk about their book Invisible History: Afghanistan’s Untold Story (City Lights Publishers, 1/1/09) with Alex Green, the owner of Back Pages Books. And they respond to audience questions.
This untold history of Afghanistan includes the authors' own first-hand accounts of the U.S. government’s involvement in Afghanistan in the late 1970s and 1980s [meddling in the warmongering of the USSR, Russia's former empire in Central Asia].
Paul Fitzgerald and Elizabeth Gould, a husband and wife team, first began reporting on Afghanistan for CBS News in 1981. They have also covered Afghanistan for “Nightline” and the “MacNeil/Lehrer News Hour.” They are also the producers of the PBS documentary Afghanistan: Between Three Worlds. Now that the U.S. Empire has been warmongering in Afghanistan for longer than it occupied and ruined Vietnam. VIDEO
