(Smithsonian Channel, 2/16/18) LOS ANGELES, California - In 1962, racist abuse by the LAPD (the infamous Los Angeles Police Department) outside a mosque or Muslim house of worship resulted in the police murder of a Nation of Islam member. It was a tragic event seized on by an outraged Minister Malcolm X, who would condemn it in an impassioned speech. Malcolm X was then assassinated by the White devil for being an "uppity" Negro.
