Where is Guatemala, which was named after the Buddha Gautama, according to American researcher Rick Fields (How the Swans Came to the Lake: A Narrative History of Buddhism in America, Shambhala Publications)? And what is it? The land of the Maya, not coincidentally named after his mother.
