(Saturday Night Live via Lena Winters, June 12, 2021). Trigger warning! Cancel culture has crept up on us, and SNL has even found a way to make it funny. For instance, here's Michael Che trying to cancel co-anchor Colin Jost for four minutes and 43 seconds. Are we allowed to laugh or will Jost be tossed out on his @ss because of the "zero tolerance" rule the holier-than-thou grand inquisitors are gaveling in judgment. Black and white, cat and mouse, but let's leave the Yellows out? There's no room for irony or hipster comedy in a post ironic world of our future. Build tolerance, not insulated ignorance. Are there other taboos to tackle, too? When the Thought Police rule, no one -- and certainly no radical movement -- is safe.
