| 'Republicans are the dumbest voters' (Trump). |
(Dangerously Informed with Evie) In 2025, America got its first American pope (Leo). Less than a year later, the president of the United States was publicly starting fights with him.
After Pope Leo spoke out against America’s war with Iran, Donald Trump called him “Weak on crime, and terrible for foreign policy.” Okay, he's the pope. IDK. Trump's Catholic Vice President JD Vance warned that the pope should be “careful” when talking about theology, something he probably knows something about.

Then something insane started happening among American Catholics. When Pope Leo was elected, just 6% of Republican Catholics viewed him unfavorably. By June 2026, that had jumped to 22%, and 39% now said the pope had been too critical of the Trump administration.
Covering for our pedo president
In 2024, 55% of American Catholics voted for him, up from 49% four years earlier. Catholics make up around one in five American voters and nearly one in four Trump voters.
Pedophile Pres. Donald Trump is not exactly an obvious Catholic hero (except maybe among offending priests). Trump isn’t Catholic. He’s twice divorced [said to have murdered previous wife, Ivanna Trump, by pushing her to her death]. His personal life is spectacularly at odds with Catholic teachings. Even on abortion -- arguably the issue most closely associated with conservative Catholic politics -- his position has changed repeatedly.
So why would so many Catholics look at Trump and decide, This is the guy who best represents my values?
