Dr. Grossman destroys gender ideology in 5

Dr. Miriam Grossman; Sheldon S., Ashley Wells (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly
Many Ukrainians hate the LGBTQIA+ movement and some go to extremes to show it.

Dr. Miriam Grossman, MD, destroys gender ideology in 5 minutes
(TFP Student Action) Aug. 10, 2023: Dr. Miriam Grossman, MD, delivers a dose of truth regarding so-called "gender-affirming care" during a recent U.S. House Committee hearing.

She speaks clearly as a medical professional, debunking the notion that sex is "assigned at birth" when it is determined at conception and revealed at birth.

Lost in Trans Nation
Dr. Grossman is a board-certified psychiatrist treating children, adolescents, and adults.

The author of five books, she has been translated into 11 languages. Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist's Guide Out of the Madness [many summaries and workbooks] is her most recent book, which explains the widespread devastation caused by transgenderism.

Her medical practice focuses on gender-distressed young people and their parents. She believes that every child is born in the right body.

Dr. Grossman has been vocal about the capture of her profession by ideologues, leading to dangerous and experimental treatments on children and the betrayal of parents.

She has testified in Congress and lectured at the British House of Lords and the United Nations.

TFP Student Action invites every American of goodwill to spread the truth on this controversial topic, with peaceful charity and clarity. For indeed, we are made male and female.

What assumptions will people make for pronouns?

COMMENT'S REPLY (8/27/23): There is no direct connection, of course, but as Dr. Grossman is "destroying" GI, according to TFP, so are the Ukrainian Nazis, while we are led to imagine that it's the Russians who are regressive, oppressive, and invasive. There is a whole other view of the cause of the CIA/USA's proxy-war and our allies in the battle for NATO's regional domination of Russian territory. Too many peace-loving liberals, who champion gender ideology, have gone mad in support of war while objecting to the slightest verbal infraction when it comes to pronouns. The combination of these elements merely illustrates this contradiction writ large.

New Age Spirituality in the USA: Meet the Shamans, Gurus, and Cult Leaders of America | documentary
(Java Discover) Is the USA undergoing a spiritual awakening? Or is it falling victim to fake gurus and New Age cult leaders?

In an America in search of meaning, gurus, healers, shamans, and other modern wizards have become the new providers of worth.

Festivals, retreats, and detox courses promising spiritual wellness are multiplying.

Let's visit emerging gurus like devi Unicole (Unicult Supply Co.), who is convinced she was sent to Earth by space aliens (akasha devas) to start a new religion and uses social media and flyers to gather followers.

Meanwhile, in Hollywood, Shaman Durek (the boyfriend of Gwyneth Paltrow-lookalike Princess Märtha Louise of Norway) is adored and charges his disciples nearly $1,000 per hour to attend a seance.

However, there is a fine line between a "spirituality coach" and a professional crook. Java Discover follows the comeback of James Arthur Ray, sentenced to ten years in prison when three of his members died during a ceremony, as he re-establishes himself on the spirituality circuit in Las Vegas.

This documentary was first released in 2020.

How To Set Yourself On Fire

I. Rony ("How To Burn Yourself"), Wisdom Quarterly
An 18-year-old is latest Tibetan to self-immolate. Nangdrol committed suicide by fire at 2:00 pm on Feb. 19, 2012 near Jonang Dzamthang Monastery, Tibet.

LHASA, China (Occupied Tibet) - Thinking of setting yourself on fire for the glory of peaceful Buddhism? Good. That ought to teach those violent Chinese not to abuse the native people of the plateau. Burn yourself, burn the other. A monk in Vietnam protesting Americans in the 1960s showed us how.
  • Step 1. Bring some gasoline. Avoid BP brand. Because the first precept is being violated, bring some alcohol too to violate the fifth. It was good enough for His Holiness Milarepa. Shakyamuni didn't understand what it was like to live with rivals trying to restrict his freedom of religion.
  • Step 2. Bring some matches, no, a lighter, no-no, a long fireplace lighter so as to not burn your fingers; if all goes well, they'll be on fire soon enough.

  • Step 3. Bring a picture of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama or at least His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, or better yet the new Panchen Lama or that fake Chinese "Karmapa," to stick it to remorseful communist soldiers with the sharp poker of irony.
  • Step 4. Bring a strong meditation practice. Pain like this is going to take the fourth samtem, which has transcended both pleasure and pain, to overcome. This could take a while, but three years, three months, three days, and three hours isolated in a dark Himalayan cave should be plenty.
  • Step 5. Bring a map or a crowd so the self-immolation can take place front and center at an intersection (crossroads), near a monument or army check post. No, scratch that. Call the media and as them where they prefer, then wait for a cameraman to arrive.
After that, let nature take its course. Get ready to meet Ksitigarbha.* And viola! Pacifist in a charred silky saffron sauce chalks one up for Mahayana martyrdom with a Vajrayana twist. By stepping up to the crucifixion/immolation site as the sacrificial lamb serving itself up as chops, this should please the great God in Beijing.

It is rumored that Saint Issa went out this way before returning to Hemis Gompa. We have to show Muslim peace activists, jilted Pakistani lovers, and Indian widows how it's done. Long live the Dharma, freedom of religion (except that controversial Shugden movement), the (cultural) revolution, and our peaceful way of life unmolested by Han intervention.
"Earth Treasury" Vows and Hell
KSITIGARBHA is known for his vow to save all beings within the six worlds [that comprise just the Sense Sphere]. Between the time of the Buddha Gautama and the Buddha Maitreya, he vows not to achieve buddhahood until all the beings in the hells are freed. He is therefore often regarded as "the bodhisattva of hell beings," the guardian of children, the patron deity of deceased children and aborted fetuses in Japanese culture. Usually depicted as a Buddhist monk with a nimbus around his shaved head, he carries a staff to force open the gates of hell and a wish-fulfilling jewel to light up the darkness.

Buddhist sets himself on fire (Tunisia)

Jessica Ravitz
In Chinese Mahayana Buddhism, self-ignition dates back more than 1,500 years. Thich Quang Duc publicly set himself on fire in Vietnam in 1963. Self-immolations are in the news again after Tunisian's act spawns copycats in Africa.

(CNN) Night had fallen when the men heard the sounds on the mountain. First it was a chime, then a recitation of verses, followed by the crackle of wood burning. They scrambled to the summit to see what was happening.

There, seated with his palms together and facing west, was their friend. Flames leapt around the peaceful man, engulfing him. It was just as he'd intended.

The year was 527.

This story of Daodu, a Mahayana Buddhist monk, is told in James Benn's Burning for the Buddha: Self-Immolation in Chinese Buddhism. Benn, an associate professor of religion at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, writes that the act of setting oneself on fire dates back in Chinese Buddhist tradition to the late 4th century.

But no matter how old, self-immolation still leaves people horrified, riveted, and moved.

The popular uprising that led to the toppling of Tunisia's government began after Mohamed Bouazizi, an unemployed 26-year-old college graduate, ignited himself in protest and died earlier this month. Since then, a wave of self-immolations has rolled through North Africa, with other incidents in Egypt, Algeria, and Mauritania. More>>

Fire in the Lotus Sutra
In Buddhism, the subject of self-immolation is controversial, said Robert Sharf, the chair of the Center for Buddhist Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.

"Many (Buddhist) schools strongly condemn suicide," he said, "but at the same time, in East Asia, self-immolation has been practiced on and off for well over a thousand years."

Like most religions, he said, the canonical literature is so vast that, if you dig deep enough, you can find teachings to fit your needs.

Enter the Lotus Sutra, considered one of the most significant [Mahayana] Buddhist scriptures in East Asia. There's a small passage in one chapter that speaks of a Medicine King, one with great spiritual and moral wisdom.

"The sutra tells us that as an offering to the Buddha and to display his insight that the body is not a permanent, unchanging self, he poured fragrant oil on himself and allowed himself to be burned by fire," wrote Buddhist monk, author, teacher, and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh is his book,

"Peaceful Action, Open Heart."

"This is a quite radical demonstration of his freedom and insight, one that was made out of a very deep love," he wrote.

And it was this part of the Lotus Sutra that Vietnamese monks and nuns pointed to when it came to self-immolation in the 1960s.

But people don't burn themselves to death "simply because the Lotus Sutra says to do it," emphasized UC Berkeley's Sharf. "While it is an extreme and contentious practice, some Buddhists regard it as the ultimate form of self-sacrifice, justified in times of social crisis to bring about political transformation."

As for the recent self-immolations in North Africa, As'ad AbuKhalil said they are about sought-after change, not about religion. More>>

Pakistan moves troops toward Indian border

Indian activist shouts anti-Pakistan slogans during recent protest (AFP).

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan – Neighbor against neigbor: Pakistan began moving thousands of troops to the Indian border Friday, intelligence officials said, sharply raising tensions triggered by the Mumbai terror attacks.
Pakistani protesters burn an Indian flag during a rally in Karachi, Pakistan on 12/26/08. Pakistan began moving thousands of troops away from the Afghan border toward India on Friday amid tensions following the Mumbai attacks, intelligence officials said (AP/Fareed Khan).

India has blamed Pakistani-based militants for last month's siege on its financial capital, which killed 164 people and has provoked an increasingly bitter war of words between nuclear-armed neighbors that have fought three wars in 60 years.

The troops headed to the Indian border were being diverted away from tribal areas near Afghanistan, officials said, and the move was expected to frustrate the United States... More>>

Meanwhile at home, terror is also used as pretext for increasing powers of a police state. Although "anyone who would trade freedom for safety deserves neither," that has not stopped the new ministry [1984-speak] of Homeland Security from intimating how it plans to justify its existence and make itself a permanent (and welcome) fixture in the American psyche over the next few years.

US Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff delivers a lecture entitled "Managing Risk: A Global Imperative" to an audience of students at the London School of Economics (LSE) in London, 12/12/08 (AP/Matt Dunham).

WASHINGTON – The terrorism threat to the United States over the next five years will be driven by instability in the Middle East and Africa, persistent challenges to border security, and increasing Internet savvy, says a new intelligence assessment obtained by the AP.
Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear attacks are...the most unlikely because it is so difficult for al-Qaida and similar groups to acquire the materials needed to carry out such plots, according to the internal Homeland Security Threat Assessment for the years 2008-2013.

[Rather, ] the al-Qaida terrorist network continues to focus on U.S. attack targets vulnerable to massive economic losses, casualties and political "turmoil," the assessment said. More>>
