(Eli from Russia) March 8, 2025: YAROSLAVL OBLAST. "ICEMAN RUSSIA" is a cold resistance competition that includes weightlifting, running, and swimming in ice water. In Russia, a cold-resistant person is called a "walrus." These people rub snow on their bodies, dive in ice holes, swim short or long distances in icy water. This is why they’re compared to animals that are well adapted to cold weather and accustomed to swimming in freezing water. Swimming in ice water is considered the mastery of cold resistance, so I decided to try it!

Imagine a peaceful land for Jews. It already exists and has for a while. It even has an official website (eao.ru).

It is called the JAO or Jewish Autonomous Oblast (Евре́йская автоно́мная о́бласть or Yevreyskaya avtonomnaya oblast in Russian). Its Yiddish name is ייִדישע אװטאָנאָמע געגנט‎ or yidishe avtonome Gegent). It is a federal subject of Russia located in the Russian Far East.

It was created to welcome all Jews for immediate residency, citizenship, family raising, with an abundance of land to create a Jewish paradise on earth without having to launch a genocide on anyone.

It borders Khabarovsk Krai and Amur Oblast in Russia and Heilongjiang Province in China.

Its administrative center is the town of Birobidzhan. As of the 2010 Russian Census, JAO's population was 176,558 people or 0.1% of the total population of Russia.
