Los Angeles Dodgers victory parade (11/3)

Dodgers fans celebrate World Series win

LA bleeds blue...or periwinkle.
(KTLA 5) Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025: KTLA's Jillian Smukler speaks to Dodgers fans the morning after the team's big win. Did the "Boys in Blue" do it or what? - What? - "What"? - Yes, this is still a PC California town. They're not the BiB. - They're not? What are they? They are the Persons in Periwinkle, and don't forget it! - The PiP? What kind of LGBTQIA+ PC carp is that? That's not going to go over too well at the giant victory parade and Dodger Stadium rally/merch bazaar.

Victory parade and Dodger Stadium Celebration Monday morning

The Los Angeles Dodgers are once again World Series champions, earning back-to-back titles last night with their backs to the wall, the first time it's been done in a quarter century.

Next come the official celebrations. Los Angeles' team will host a victory parade Monday morning, followed by a ticketed rally at Dodgers Stadium. Tickets on sale noon Sunday.

The Big Parade
  • The victory parade route, DTLA
WHEN: Monday, starting at 11:00 am.
  • ROUTE: Starting point is Temple Street and Broadway Avenue in downtown (DTLA). Then the parade will move from Temple St. to Grand Ave. to 7th St., then to Figueroa St.
  • CLOSURES: Fans are being urged and strongly advised to take public transit (Metro) because of street closures, impossible traffic, and very limited public parking.

Birthday Ghost: Valenzuela
It's one or the other. A ticketed event is planned after the parade -- with food, entertainment, and plenty of World Series merchandise, Shohei Ohtani tee-shirts, Yoshinobu Yamamoto jerseys, commemorative plastic tchotchkes.

The parade will be streamed on the giant scoreboards while the crowd waits for the team to arrive from the victory parade route through DTLA.

Due to street closures, fans will only be able to attend either the parade or the stadium celebration. No exceptions.

Yamamoto wins it for LA Dodgers, Japan

Series was won by two incredible double plays.

Happy b-day, Fernando's ghost
Mexican pitching marvel Fernando Valenzuela comes through for the Dodgers again. Although his contribution this year was posthumous, it is his birthday and it is the Day of the Dead, and something unseen pushed Yoshinobu Yamamoto to greatest tonight. It has to seem supernatural to overcome the odds and win the biggest game of his life. There may be trouble in celebratory Los Angeles, still reeling from Halloween Carnival in West Hollywood tonight, Samhain trick-or-treaters going all night, and the seasonal festivities of Christian-Pagan syncretism.
MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Yoshinobu Yamamoto
(山本 η”±δΌΈ, born 1998) is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB).

He previously played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Orix Buffaloes, where he became one of the most decorated pitchers in league history.

Between 2021 and 2023, Yamamoto won three consecutive Pacific League Most Valuable Player Awards, three Eiji Sawamura Awards, and three Triple Crowns, leading the league in wins, strikeouts, and earned run average in each of those seasons.

Shohei Ohtani is having fun, and that's gotta hurt.
He also threw two no-hitters and was a key figure in Orix’s 2022 Japan Series championship.

Following the 2023 season, Yamamoto was posted to MLB and signed a 12-year, $325 million contract with the Dodgers—the largest ever for a pitcher at the time.

In his rookie MLB season, he contributed to Los Angeles’ 2024 World Series title, becoming the first player in baseball history to win a World Series, an Olympic gold medal, and a World Baseball Classic title.

In 2025, Yamamoto was named to his first All-Star game. Internationally, he has represented Japan in multiple tournaments, earning gold medals at the 2019 WBSC Premier12, the 2020 Summer Olympics, and the 2023 World Baseball Classic. More

Dodgers vs. Blue Jays at end of world

The stakes
: If the Los Angeles Dodgers win tonight (Day of the Dead, Nov. 1, 2025), they’ll be the first team to win consecutive titles since the New York Yankees did it from 1998 to 2000.

Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays won back-to-back championships in 1992 and 1993 — and they're back in the series for the first time in 32 years.

Help from the Other Side
If Toronto wins, it will be ecstasy for the country of mighty Canada, smearing it in the face of the Orange Dictator in his Demolished House commanding his ICE Gestapo.
  • Do the LA Dodgers have a supernatural edge tonight thanks to their large Latin/Asian fan base? YES! Today, the Mexican Day of the Dead, is Mexican super-pitcher Fernando Valenzuela's birthday, and the greatest living Dodger pitcher, Shintoist ONE MAN SHOhei Ohtani is pitching tonight. Nando willing, tonight is a cinch for the Dodgers!
  • What makes the Dodgers so good? It's the best team money could buy. And this is a capitalist country with a capitalist game that glorifies competition, rivalry, violent grit (sometimes breaking out in massive gang fights on the field when they lose and a little sports hooliganism on the streets when they win).
How did Shohei Ohtani happen?

World's greatest pitcher and hitter: S. Ohtani
How we got here
: The Blue Jays on Friday seemed poised to tie the game in the ninth inning until Dodgers infielder KikΓ© HernΓ‘ndez initiated an incredible double play to end the game and secure a trip to Game 7.

Where things stand: The last game, the tiebreaker, will be at the covered Rogers Centre in Toronto, where the team of champions will claim Major League Baseball's Commissioner’s Trophy. More: World Series Game 7: The winner takes all as Dodgers seek a repeat title tonight (LAist.com)

The Dodgers' hopes rest on Yamamoto

Yoshinobu Yamamoto
Los Angeles is on edge and ready to riot if their team the beloved Dodgers fail to win Game 6. It's Devils' Night in WeHo (West Hollywood), home of the Halloween Carnivale, a night of LGBTQI+ revelry and possible debauchery, although this year they have shortened it by an hour so that it ends long before midnight, the Witching Hour. The keiki (children) are dodging cars on the suburban streets of the megalopolis as they run their culturally-approved shakedown for dopamine hits via sugary candies all across LA's 88 cities and countless neighborhoods.

The great Japanese pitcher will start Game 6, and with so much at stake, Dodger fans have to wonder if the stars are aligned. Avoid gambling. It's rigged. The fix is in. It's an emotional rollercoaster ride.

Yoshinobu Yamamoto's lifestyle IS NOT what you think!

Dodger 'Yagi' (GOAT) Ohtani: World Series

  • (Search Party) How Shohei Ohtani happened
  • What does Shohei (ηΏ”εΉ³) mean? Shō (ηΏ”) means to "soar or glide," and hei (εΉ³) means to be "level, in the sense of being calm or peaceful." Hei is also a common ending for male names. His surname's initial character Oh (倧) means "great or large" and tani (θ°·) means "valley." One who glides peacefully in a grand valley (like a stadium)? Source
  • He's the G.O.A.T. (the "greatest of all time), we say, which in Japanese is yagi  ("goat").
World Series Game 3 HIGHLIGHTS | Blue Jays versus Dodgers - Oct. 27, 2025
The Greatest of All Time: The Yagi
(SPORTSNET) Oct. 28, 2025: DODGER STADIUM, Los Angeles. In one of the most unbelievable games of professional baseball anyone will ever see, featuring every manner of drama, the Los Angeles Dodgers bested the Toronto Blue Jays by way of a Freddie Freeman walk-off homer after 18 grueling innings, taking a 2-1 World Series lead in the process.

The Fix Is In: Gambling?
The G.O.A.T. Shohei "Yagi" Ohtani was spectacular. But the game lasted seven hours, ending about midnight. Even diehard fans, many of them Proles outside the luxuries of the Inner Party, had to get home and get to work the next day, possibly nursing hangovers from a day at Distraction Ball.

The grind continues, and the Dodgers are down, maybe making this the closest World Series in a long while. What started off with rumors of a sweep, the Dodgers taking the series in four straight wins, diverted and has made them really work for it.

It is possibly all scripted to milk billions in bets with bookies and offshore gambling agents. The fix is in. So don't gamble based on statistics and math. That's how they get a bettor. The best laid plans of mice and men do not pan out or else everyone would bet by the numbers. It's bound to be a counterintuitive ending to make the house the most money. Here, seven hours are condensed into about seven exciting minutes of play without all the milling about and nail-biting.

Best baseball player is Buddhist?

Sorry Ladies and Gents, he's taken.
Wisdom Quarterly has yet to conclusively demonstrate that the Yagi (Japanese for "goat") is a Japanese Buddhist from Orange County, where he played for the Angels. But what is the circumstantial evidence? Let's see.

The all is empty, devoid of self.
Nearly everyone in Japan is Buddhist, at least by tradition as are a great number of Asian Orange County residents, with only San Francisco and Los Angeles serving as home for expat Buddhist communities from Japan (where many were brought more than a century ago to work in building the railroads then unceremoniously locked up in gulags to sit out WW II, where the humiliation of forced internment has not been forgotten. But Japan has more than Zen Buddhism.

Shinto priest bows, placates kami
The older tradition is Shinto or kami (spirit) worship/tending. And the newer tradition is Pure Land faith-based Buddhism usually called Nichiren ShōshΕ«. There are of course colonial remnants of Christianity and modernist agnosticism and atheism, but deep down most every Japanese person adheres to ancient Buddhist tradition along with observance of other spiritual legacies. While it might be wise for Ohtani to keep it a mystery and rake in nearly a billion dollars in his stint with the Dodgers, we bet that just beneath the surface he bows, prays, meditates, focuses Zen-like, and welcomes the help of the unseen world of kamis and blessings wherever he can get them from the Old Country and his new home. After all, he did not succumb to a Hollywood manager-arranged public relationship for the press. He traveled back to Nippon (Japan) and found a traditional wife to accompany him on his rise to stardom and his life as a living legend. Can Babe Ruth or Fernando Venezuela compare?
If we were world-famous bonsai tree growers in Japan, we'd put it out that we were pro-business Ninja Samurai capitalists, so everyone would know we were proud Americans but very open to Japanese traditions like the lore of Bushi warriors. No cents in offending the locals with our brash Americans...and very few dollars.

It might be orchestrated to maximize gambling and drunkenness: Toronto bounces back in Game 4

The Fix Is Still In (B. Tuohy)
What will Halloween in Canada be like? The Dodgers will soon find out. Why? Whoever is writing this sports script would want to stretch out the suspense, sell more tickets, raise more money betting, and making the win more of a surprise with cries of "next year" in case of an upset. It's rudimentary in a corrupt capitalist system of American sport.

How dare anyone question the honesty, integrity, and above-board directness of the MLB and all its players, who would never do anything just for the money. Balderdash! Who could think such a thing or say it out loud?

Police State: cops keep killing

Stay on the sidewalk, mofo! - I am on the sidewalk, sir! - And don't talk back, n-word, or I'll blow your motherf'n head off like your boi Charlie Brown! - His name is Michael, sir. - Arrest this mofo, kill him if he "resists"! Fergistan, MO (Josh P/pactenboy/twitter).

LAPD: Kill first, evade Q's later (scpr.org)
NORTH AUGUSTA, South Carolina - Ernest Satterwhite was a laid-back former mechanic with a habit of ignoring police officers who tried to pull him over -- an act of [indifference] that ultimately got him [murdered by police who will not stand for being disrespected, certainly not by blacks].

[What is the name of the shooter, the killer who committed murder under color of law.] The 68-year-old black great-grandfather was shot to death after a slow-speed chase as he parked in his own driveway, by a 25-year-old white police officer who repeatedly fired through the driver's side door.

Dangerous young black man in his driveway
Investigators determined that North Augusta Public Safety Officer Justin Craven broke the law. A prosecutor, in a rare action against a police officer, sought to charge him with voluntary manslaughter, punishable by up to 30 years in prison. But the [hand selected] grand jury [of prominent, mostly white conservative citizens] disagreed, indicting him on a misdemeanor.

The debate over how police use force against unarmed people has become a national issue since an unarmed 18-year-old black [teen named Michael Brown] was shot to death in August by a white police officer in Ferguson, Missouri, where unrest still lingers.

Let's keep paramilitary busy abroad killing noncitizens by remote control?

Police misconduct, Ferguson, Missouri (thenation.com/George Zornick)
.
But most police shootings make only local headlines, and just for a day or two. The refusal of authorities to release public information about these on-duty actions by taxpayer-paid officials is a big reason why. As with many such killings, Satterwhite's death in February remains shrouded in mystery.

Video can make a difference [in prosecuting citizens and exonerating officials who viciously beat Rodney King on video yet were nevertheless went unconvicted]: South Carolina gained the national spotlight last week after a dashboard camera showed how in just a few seconds Trooper Sean Groubert went from asking motorist Levar Jones for his license for a supposed seat belt violation, to shooting at him repeatedly without provocation, even as Jones put his hands in the air. Jones was hit once and is recovering.

State Public Safety Director Leroy Smith called that shooting "disturbing," and Groubert was promptly fired and charged with felony assault. More

Police State?

World leaders and activists from around the world once gathered for the G20 Summit in a police state. With over 19,000 police and security personnel on hand, the results lead to over 1,100 arrests, martial law in downtown Toronto, and the largest violation of civil liberties in Canadian history.
