Anniversary of Kent State massacre (May 4)
I killed the very people I claim to protect, exercising the rights I said I went to war to defend!
The legacy of Kent State 54 years later
(NBC News) May 4, 2024: Today, Saturday, May 4th marks the 54th anniversary of the Kent State shootings, where Ohio National Guard troops killed students protesting against the U.S. War on Vietnam (and secret wars against two other neighboring Buddhist countries, Cambodia and Laos). NBC’s Gadi Schwartz looks at the legacy of the protest and talks with survivors. . #KentState#protest #UCLA #UniversityofMichigan
(WBNS 10TV) Kent State University, Ohio, is marking another solemn anniversary of the National Guard murder of four unarmed students and their wounding of nine others on May 4, 1970. Troops fired live rounds on Kent State students in 1970. Many see echoes in today's heavy handed police state reactions to peaceful campus protests (UCLA, Columbia, USC, Berkeley, etc.) calling for peace in the geopolitical Middle East instead of endless U.S. funding of war, conflict, and terrorism on indigenous populations the U.S. Empire desires to dominate.

(FBN) Do we live in a police state? Yes, but that's not to say it can't get worse,
particularly if frat boys chant "USA, USA, USA!" to cheer on police brutality
