Saturday Night Live (SNL) is in Year 51 after half of century of satirical jokes and memorable sketches. So it had a three-hour special, which strangely aired on a Sunday night and may not have been live, looking back at great moments and ahead to what might come. Yet on the very next Saturday, it's a rerun. Maybe the special was just that good, meriting a double take. Old hosts like genius Martin Short and his sidekick Steve Martin and other comedy legends made it out to celebrate Lorne Michaels. Canada has Kids in the Hall, the UK has lots of crass and brilliant comedy and satire, Mexico has "Saturday Night Live México," and Egypt has satirist Bassem Youssef. If we're lucky, we'll have SNL for a few more years.
