(WION) Feb. 10, 2025: The Buddhist majority island nation of Sri Lanka (the teardrop off the tip of southern India formerly named Serendib and Ceylon), not far from the Maldives, was plunged into a nationwide power crisis. A monkey did it, allegedly. The unexpected electrical outage has sparked debates over infrastructure security and energy reliability in the island nation.
