Total Blood Flower Full Moon Eclipse (5/15)

Blood Moon Total Lunar Eclipse for May 2022: Here's what to know
(ABC10, May 11, 2022) The total lunar eclipse for May 2022 goes many names like Flower Moon and Blood Moon, but whatever it's called, it's happening. Here's how and when to see it in California.

(KHOU 11, May 13, 2022) What is a super flower blood moon? A total lunar eclipse will happen this weekend on Sunday night. Meteorologist Chita Craft explains the meaning behind its fancy name.

Eyewitness commentary
Mythological Rahu (space body)
It was spectacular and, for once, an easy and convenient view from metropolitan Los Angeles, starting at about 8:00 pm. Luna (Soma, Chandra) was in the southern sky, ascending, moving west. The explanation that the Earth (Tierra, Bhumi) is throwing a shadow onto the moon for this eclipse doesn't hold water, since the moon is moving up and west simultaneously. Moreover, when the light is going out, it (the obscuration) is moving left to right, but when the moon's glow is returning, it is coming straight up from the bottom. That's one magic shadow, moving in all these directions right in sync with the moon's movements. It would be easier to believe that Rahu, an unacknowledged planet or celestial body (rather than a meaningless "node"), is swallowing Soma/Chandra. The calculations of Eric Dubay (ericdubay.com) are easier to confirm and offer more explanatory power than Caltech or the Griffith Observatory. How great it would be to meet the person who does all the predictive calculations for the local news channels, who all run the same sort of dumbed down graphics about what's going on.
