Buddhism, it's kinda out there, Man

exurb1a, 6/3/21 (YouTube); Ashley Wells, Dhr. Seven, Amber Larson (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Wisdom Quarterly's Dharma editor -- being sardonically droll -- thinks this is the bestest quickest funniest explanation of Buddhism or Awaken-ism, the "Dharma (doctrine) of Ultimate Awakening (bodhi)."

This accented gent, Mr. exurb1a, deserves a round of applause for an amusing and slightly educational PowerPoint-style presentation (i.e., graphics-added video) about what the Buddha taught. That's infotainment on par with Alan Watts.

Buddhism is Kinda Out There, Man
(exurb1a, summer 2021) For those interested in Buddhism, this is some stuff that certainly give the speaker a kick out of over the years:

Fluid deity Kwan Yin (Avalokita) or a Tara
A massive amount of this video came from a lecture series by Boston University Prof. of Religion Malcolm David Eckel. Listen to it here. And, no, no one's sponsoring this. It's just ace: audible.com.

This is the speaker's favorite translation of the Dhammapada ("Imprint of the Dharma"), some sayings of the Buddha.

A great written intro to Zen is Zen Mind Beginner's Mind by Shunryu Suzuki.

Another brilliant Intro to Zen is by Alan Watts.

Act Normal is also a great documentary about a Western Buddhist monk.

Super duper new book, Geometry for Ocelots (which may require a change of region). ► The rest of the speaker's books: tinyurl.com/ycnl5bo3. ► T-shirts, mugs, and sadness teespring.com/stores/exurb1a. ► His horrendous music: soundcloud.com/exurbia-1. ► For sending personalized insults: facebook.com/exurb1a.

Finally, help him do this full-time for those deranged enough to want it: patreon.com/exurb1r....
