AudioBuddha, 2/20/222; Dhr. Seven, Sheldon S., CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

(AudioBuddha) Narrated by Peter Coyote in ‎English: 101 Zen Stories is a 1919 compilation of Zen Buddhist koans or "cases," riddles of a sort, sometimes paradoxical, often profound, including 19th and early 20th century anecdotes compiled by Nyogen Senzaki in a translation by Shasekishū. It was written in the 13th century by Japanese Zen Master Mujū (無住, lit. "non-dweller"). Zen koans (公案) are unsolvable enigmas designed to break our brain youtu.be. Well-known koans in the collection include:
  • A Cup of Tea
  • The Sound of One Hand
