Grow Food in LA: Urban Course (Crop Swap)

CropSwapLA.org; Crystal Quintero, CC Liu (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

Living in a big city surrounded by many businesses, it's easy to forget that almost all of the food we consume is shipped in.

What happens when there are problems with the supply chain? Or if the neighborhood grocery store closes? Add that to the fact that the longer produce is in transport, the more nutrients it loses.

Guided Microfarm Walking Tour, Oct. 15
Led by Crop Swap LA Founder and Executive Director Jamiah Hargins, this Urban Survival Course imparts the necessary knowledge to start growing food TODAY.

The course is held at The Degnan Microfarm, Crop Swap LA's newest microfarm in Africa Town/Leimert Park.

Rooted - Yoga at the Microfarm, Oct. 20
Successfully take all four Urban Survival Courses and be eligible to receive a Crop Swap LA Urban Grower Certificate. A healthy lunch catered by a hyper local business is included in the course. More
