Gas prices soar higher in Southern California

Don't drink it; pore it in the tank

Buckle up, Southern California. Overly high gas prices are back with a vengeance [just as was predicted years ago to align with Big Oil's plan to milk the endless supply of polluting petroleum, which German scientists proved grows naturally in the ground by the magic of microbes in the soil and is not coming from old dinosaur fossil deposits. But it takes a long, long time to replenish and is very toxic and polluting when brought up and burned into the atmosphere. Big Oil also doesn't want anyone to know that clean, natural alcohol can be a gas as a byproduct of natural yeasts and microbes eating sugars].

Los Angeles County [the self-proclaimed Capital of the World because what happens here eventually happens everywhere else] prices are up to an average of $5.56 per gallon.

A month ago, that price was $5.22, according to AAA. That’s higher than the state’s average of $5.46 and far higher than the national average of $3.84.

[They'll have us all in 5G remote controlled electric vehicles, which will be more polluting to fuel up even if less polluting to operate, by outlawing internal combustion engines that run on petroleum in the name of climate change alarmism. But sourcing rare earth minerals to make batteries on an industrial scale then burning coal to make electricity to power them is known to be far more polluting than the system now in place.]

It’s also higher than this time last year, when a gallon was $5.41 on average. 

However, it’s still lower than the highest local average ever for L.A. County, which was recorded a little over a year ago:

Solution? Alcohol fuel from sugars

Unmodified cars can run on 50% alcohol. And converting to 100% alcohol or flexible fueling (using both alcohol and gas) costs only a few hundred dollars.

Most auto companies already sell new dual-fuel vehicles.

Even the monsoon rains don’t keep the women of Ghunduribadi, a tiny tribal village in India’s eastern state of Odisha (Orissa), from patrolling the nearby forest at dawn.
 

Clad in colorful saris and armed with sticks and machetes, they file in the rain through rice fields and onto a muddy path that leads into 500 acres of wooded hills in the Nayagarh district. They’re looking for intruders that come to cut down their trees without permission.

Women's patrol nabbed three illegal loggers from nearby village and brought them to the local council. If not for the presence of reporter, they would've beaten the men (Sam Eaton).

 

Not long ago these women would have been considered trespassers here. Nearby, there are heavy stone markers laid down by the British in the 1800s when the government declared this forest its own.

The Middle Country and Shakya Land (VICE)

The Buddha was born in Central Asia (ranajitpal.com) in Shakya Land, known as Scythia to the ancient Greeks, which includes what are today called the "Stans." Kapilavastu and the two other seasonal capitals were likely in what is now Afghanistan. But the Shakyas must have wandered and from time to time held a territory reaching as far and wide as the rugged landscape would allow. In that land with rival neighbors vying for territory, as the Silk Route brought travelers and riches, there had once lived the mythical "unicorn." But this was a giant creature in what by the Buddha's time was an equestrian culture. Another of the Stans was made famous by "Borat" (Sacha Baron Cohen), a rugged land swallowed up into the USSR and only now emerging as a once great kingdom separating Europe and Asia. The Buddha warned what can be expected to happen to a society that abducts women, which he would not have done were it not a practice.

A Culture of Kidnapping
Host Thomas Morton (VICE) investigates. In rural Kyrgyzstan men still marry their women the old-fashioned way --  by abducting them off the street and forcing them to be their wives. Bride-napping is supposedly an ancient custom that has made a major comeback since the fall of communism, when Kyrgyzstan was part of the Russian Empire (USSR). It now accounts for nearly half of all marriages in some parts. VICE traveled to the Kyrgyz countryside to follow and aid and abet a young groom named Kubanti as he surprised his teenage girlfriend Nazgul with the gift of marriage by kidnapping.

Coelacanths were known only from fossils until a live Latimeria chalumnae was discovered off the coast of South Africa in 1938. Until then, they were presumed to have gone extinct more than 65 million years ago, in the late Cretaceous period. The "Siberian unicorn" likely went extinct only around 29,000 years ago, conflicting with previous research that suggested its extinction around 350,000 years ago.
 
Although the "Siberian unicorn," also known as the Elasmotherium sibiricum, was thought to have died out around 350,000 years ago, a new study by researchers from Tomsk State University (TSU) reveals that this "unicorn" instead went extinct 29,000 years ago in Kazakhstan.

"Most likely, the south of Western Siberia was a refúgium, where this rhino persevered the longest in comparison with the rest of its range," said Andrey Shpanski, a paleontologist at TSU and first author on the study. Four-legged snake fossil stuns scientists—and ignites controversy

Scientists have described what they say is the first known fossil of a four-legged snake. The limbs of the 120-or-so-million-year-old, 20-centimeter-long creature are remarkably well preserved and end with five slender digits that appear to have been functional. Thought to have come from Brazil, the fossil would be one of the earliest snakes found, suggesting that the group evolved from terrestrial precursors in Gondwana, the southern remnant of the supercontinent Pangaea. But although the creature’s overall body plan -- and indeed, many of its individual anatomical features -- is snakelike, some researchers aren’t so sure that it is a part of the snake family tree. The team’s scientific interpretation may be the least controversial aspect of the discovery, which they report online today in Science. More

Ordinary alcohol works like gas (petrol)

Anyone can become energy independent with alcohol fuel. Reverse global warming. Survive the end of Peak Oil. Alcohol fuel is "liquid sunshine" not controlled by trans-national corporations.
 
Anyone can produce alcohol for less than $1.00 (1 USD) a gallon using a variety of plants and waste products from algae to stale donuts. It is a much better and cleaner fuel than gasoline.

Motors were invented before gasoline (petrol) was, originally using alcohol. That is what car engines were invented to use. It can go into cars right now! No adjustments or modifications are needed. But Big Oil has scare tactics and powerful lobbyists.

Alcohol can also generate electricity. Alcohol burns so cleanly that, by law, gasoline must be added before using it in cars. It must be denatured so that people will not drink it. Brazil already uses it widely in as high as a 90% mixture. Ethanol would be added in the US, but the petrochemical industry worries about how that would affect its bottom line.

Alcohol fuel production is ecologically sustainable, revitalizes farms and communities, and creates huge new opportunities for small-scale businesses. Its byproducts are clean and valuable. Simple facts obliterate several of the pillars of egghead "mythematical psyence." While scientific method is a wonder, it is not allowed to work. Popular pseudo-science is owned by energy barons, corporate warmongers, and the central banks that fund the corporations.

"Quackademic" theories are forced on school systems, which do not allow their own teachers to instruct according to conscience or studies that contradict the issued textbook. The result is a kind of mind control limiting what is "acceptable" discourse. Contradictory science is ignored. Teaching falsehoods enslaves us with limiting ideas for decades. But even future generations do not get the truth that eventually comes out. Instead, they get a new party line to toe.

For example, explosion-based technologies (nuclear, coal, gas, oil) that burn fuels that multinational companies harvest and sell at top dollar are the only technologies we are taught. The history we are taught glorifies conquest and illegal resource acquisition.

Why are we not taught about free energy technologies?

Fuels and distribution-systems for fuels that have been built on the backs of millions of innocent and exploited people in oil producing lands are relentlessly promoted. Who owns the world, and who controls the system that enslaves us, pollutes us, and ruins the world while not even having the decency to fund the clean up? More

A discovery of a 47 million-year-old fossil primate that is said to be a human ancestor was announced Tuesday at a press conference in New York City.

Known as "Ida," the nearly complete transitional fossil is 20 times older than most fossils that provide evidence for human evolution.

It shows characteristics from the very primitive non-human evolutionary line (prosimians, such as lemurs), but is more related to the human evolutionary line (anthropoids, such as monkeys, apes and humans), said Norwegian paleontologist Jørn Hurum of the University of Oslo Natural History Museum.
